Definitely looks like a casting quality issueā¦that supplier is going to be busy certifying material and writing a corrective action in the very near future!
Iām near Windsor as well; once you get your VIN and have your order number and dealer number you can use the tracker app on this website to get updates (edit: looks like the order track app doesnāt work any longer). After your Bronco is built and shows itās awaiting shipping you can go on the...
Cassens is the convoy carrier to Ontario out of the Bronco plant; you can go on their website and enter your info to see the status. There is a shortage of truckers; it took them ~ a couple of weeks to pick mine up once it showed Awaiting Shipping on the order tracker site but once they did it...
I meant for the official (Windows) released version. 2.3.48 was released back in June; based on the timing of previous releases it shouldnāt be too long before they update to .49, which supposedly will work for us. There is another thread in here where someone mentioned they were sent a link...
If the line control system is any good, it would ensure things like this are either finished (tightened), or it would flag the vehicle as non-conforming so it could go to the repair bay to be resolved. Iāve worked as a manufacturing engineer for 18 years supplying Ford and GM with various...
Do any dealers actually put vehicles on a hoist and check various fastener torques as part of PDI any more? Beyond maybe lug nuts, Iād be surprised much else gets checked. Remove the plastic, check the oil, wash it and send it out the door.
Just FYI, every fuel injected Ford going back to the late 80ās will not start if your foot is holding the throttle pedal to the floor during crank; this isnāt new to the Bronco.
When I was picking up our Bronco at my dealer recently, the salesman and I got talking about the Lightning - the first thing he said was āI donāt know who the h*ll is going to buy these things at this priceā.
Hereās Canadian pricing on a loaded up Platinum. Add to this our 13% tax and you are...
I purchased one of these off Amazon. Itās a manual pump but it has a switch to allow for extraction or dispensing of various fluids. I use it mostly for transmission fluid but it could be used for coolant, gearboxes or engine oil...
You said you smelled fuel and now youāre going to drive it to the dealer. Personally I would just call them and tell them to come pick it up. Also, driving with a mis-fire could ruin your catalyst.
Putting vehicles on the line when parts arenāt available didnt used to happenā¦then came covid and the global supply train wreck that ensued. Now thereās a whole mountain of vehicles parked waiting on parts. Definitely not an ideal way to do business, but shutting down a profit centre for months...
I believe the seats are in-line vehicle sequenced at the supplier so this is most likely a mis-queue on their endā¦Ford will hit them up for a corrective action and a nice charge back.
As someone else mentioned, it would be hard to tell the difference with the plastic on the seats at the plant.
Spent the day doing paint correction (not sure what the dealer washed it with during PDI but it was quite scratched), then applied pre-cut film to the hood, bottom of doors, door sills and roll bars, followed by ceramic coating the entire thing. Turned out pretty nice.
2.3L auto in oursā¦ when we first picked it up from the dealer (with only 20 miles on it) the shifts were quite rough. I recall commenting about it to my wife during our initial drive.
I was driving it again last night (now has ~ 700 miles on it) and it is much smoother. Pretty happy with the...
