They dont drop super low but I like the assist with them. Less stress on the seat upholstery when you get in with a step. Maybe 5" lower than the door sill
Got in a sticky situation recently and ended up brushing the bronco along a tree and taking off the mirror.
I Had the impression that I would have had body/door damage if not for the sliders, and it looks like that is definitely the case as it's clear I did a grind down the length of the rail...
Unfortunately not, I tried to install last year but couldn't find a roofing member behind the drywall strapping on my garage ceiling. I'm going to take another crack at it this year with the hoist in a static location instead of a trolley, though I'm not sure if I will stick with the hook idea
Probably won't be working on this until next spring as I don't want to go topless in the winter. I can tell the hooks are very secure, my only worry is them sliding around. The strap will need to be quite tight and the middle of strap should have something to lock it's position along the tube
On my 2022, I tried the 3800 value and got a DTC from the module. I then tried 3801 and no DTC. I didnt really investigate how much difference this did on its own but the mids and highs are definitely much better defined now. Lows are still awful, but get get blood from a stone. Not sure what...
It could be useful to add tire sizes and the best number to reprogram in this spreadsheet. The calculator online gives numbers too high if you want an accurate speedo.
For example, 285 70 17, I programmed 2520, it is slightly too high. I am going to try 2500.
Stock 265 70 17 was 2440.
FWIW I think they are all the same rebranded lift based on the metalwork, but I would prefer champion as well, unfortunately they don't have a wireless option
I am building a DIY lift for the rear section of the hardtop, as I didn't like existing solutions on the market (both I found were expensive, one puts unintended forces on the mid panel latches and the other would become a brick if the app is no longer supported)
This is cheaper, but not...
I emailed the company as well and didnt receive an answer
I ended up purchasing a generic electric hoist with wireless remote, Im just going to use some U-clips on the four roof mounting points and a 2x2 channel to distribute the weight.
Can any 4 door owners of this lift speak to the forces on the mid panel connector? I am looking for something and I like this system, I like that it is actually designed for the bronco and not a repurposed porduct from Jeep, but I am not digging that it lifts the mid panel and back panel as one...
Maybe Im too green lol, I thought the pic showing it mounted with 2 bolts on a beefy member was frame mounting, Ive noticed several "pinch weld mounts" that literally bolt around and touch the pinch weld. The GoRhino dominator steps, for example have mounts right through the pinch weld. Are...
Beautiful! Looks like the only steps/sliders in this price range that are frame mounted! Just ordered some for my 4 door which I will probably receive before the bronco 😅
Also pretty interesting that the brackets are welded on and not bolt on like many others in this price range. Great pics
Im a little surprised there is any kind of material stackup to delaminate in the firstplace. I thought "molded in color" meant it was one single injection molded part.
