  1. Installed our Bestop Skyrider for Hardtop

Glad I wasn’t the only one who wondered about cross-threading. I removed it for winter, but first I bought a Milwaukee power ratchet because I wasn’t going to mess around with that damn thread locker again. I found the instructions pretty solid too. But I did actually have parts mislabeled...
  2. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

Thanks, but as you point out, just hearsay. I’m going to link a document below that should pretty well debunk this. I think the disconnect between us is that I’m looking at this as someone who has advised on the purchase and sale of numerous dealers and advised on other dealer issues. So I’m...
  3. Installed our Bestop Skyrider for Hardtop

Curious if you had any install issues. With mine I thought they put way too much thread locker on the hardware and some were a real pain to drive in. Wondering if you had a similar experience or if I was just unlucky.
  4. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

Thanks for catching me up. But what evidence do we have for “these dealers were initially given the go ahead”? Do we have anything other than the offending dealers saying so? I’ve done a lot of work in the automotive space and I’ve never seen a manufacturer/dealer agreement that would make...
  5. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

Problem is it’s not that simple with so many trims and options. If Ford said “we can build 1,000 vehicles and there are 1,000 orders” that would seem to be perfect. But if those 1,000 orders were all for the same thing (like a Braptor) and of the 1,000 they can build Ford only has the parts...
  6. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

This comment is going to be unpopular and might get me in trouble. But if what you wrote is true it tells you the real culprit here is the dealers who booked a gazillion orders with no allocation, not FoMoCo. Can you imagine being a dealer and being told the manufacturer will bail you out but...
  7. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

Did you order from your closest dealership or did you order from a dealership further away in order to get the below MSRP?
  8. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

That's how I got mine. Driving past the dealer I saw one I liked, was about 95% of what I specced. Went inside and asked what the deal was. They told me it was expected to be a cancellation, but they did not have it in writing yet. I gave them a deposit and said "when you get the written...
  9. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

Nah. Lawyers would likely make almost nothing off a lawsuit like this because it's a terrible lawsuit. Ford isn't responsible for dealers taking way more orders than they could possibly fill and trying to game allocations. That's the dealer's fault.
  10. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

From what others have suggested, 2D orders likely exceed production capability (I think they were using earlier demand numbers since we didn’t see a 2D demand number in the T&C video). If that’s true then Ford would still encourage people to switch from 2D to 4D soft to balance 2D demand and...
  11. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

Maybe, but I don’t think we have any proof of this happening. Ford doesn’t receive any part of ADM and dealers can’t switch brands. So there’s no reason for Ford to simply screw customers to serve dealers.
  12. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

Dealers are locked to manufacturers in long term, highly restrictive contracts. I don’t know what you mean by dealers being the real VIP. It’s not like a dealer can say “screw you FoMoCo, I’m selling GM now!”
  13. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

Wherever you get it you’ll need the money to deal with all the Tesla quality problems. Never again!
  14. đź’° Official: $2500 Order Modification Offer to Wildtrak Customers (switch trims) and Non-Wildtrak Customers (modify order to remove constraints)

It seems unlikely the MIC issue applies to 2 Door. If the Town & Country numbers can be believed, Ford is capable of producing 17% of all manufactured Broncos as 2D; if the MIC issue applied to 2D then that number would be 0%. I know the T&C video got taken down but I think that’s because they...
  15. HELP! Jeep is in the shop, may need to sell and i don’t have my Bronco yet

Sixt has a similar program but when I checked the prices it was far more than just fixing the Jeep.
  16. My Bronco was sold to someone else.

You can also consider filing a complaint against the dealer’s license: https://www.flhsmv.gov/safety-center/consumer-education/consumer-complaints/ And for the doubters on this thread, the OP is in South Florida. I’m surprised they didn’t also try to sell him an EcoBoost claiming it was the...
  17. My Bronco was sold to someone else.

I had a bad experience with Grieco screwing around with me on my A-plan (wasn’t for the Bronco, I walked out). I got my Bronco by luck when the person who ordered refused to take delivery. But the dealer handled the right way. I walked in because I wanted to look at one to place an order for...
  18. Greetings from Western Mass

Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking for a while and when the opportunity came along for me to buy a Bronco this forum was a huge help in pulling the trigger. So thanks to all the posters for all your helpful information. I wound up with this beauty. That’s right, a KarenSquatch! And if you have...
