Finished up two upgrade projects:
1. FROM - Sound system sucked -- TO - Awesome w/Kicker speakers in all 6 positions, 200.4 Key and 8" powered sub. ALSO: Sound deadening throughout using Knu Konceptz Kolossus 2nds at a fraction of the cost of more known brand(s).
2. Added a winch using Rough...
Just completed this on my '22 Squashed Badlands, 2.7l and, there are some real challenges to this install.
1. It is meant to be used with their winch - however, a Warn can be installed, but only the EVO series, NOT a ZEON, too big for the mount (learned this by trial and error.) There is a...
Just finished installing this mount in my Badlands w/2.7L which is a much worse endeavor with all the things in the way. I recommend this set up for both the 2.3 or 2.7. Just know the 2.7L will be a challenge and several unmentioned mods are necessary beyond the oil cooler relocate. What I've...
My pair just about 50yrs apart. Having upgraded the '73 to modern steering and brakes improved it manners significantly! The new Blue Print 350 hp/torque power plant was a much need improvement too, along with the 5 speed manual from the 3 spd C4. Best of both worlds I guess... Have had the...
Update to dipstick issue: Parked my rig on a level concrete slab after a bit of a drive through the mountains and up our trashed by floods back road... 15 minutes after parked, it read the exact same as when it had been parked for several days - all the way up to the twist. This rig is a week...
Went to the UPR website and found it for a little less there than the Amazon offer. Am using ValvoMax on my other rigs, however, they don't have one for this yellow plug in the plastic oil pan set up; though their website does show one... am in discussion about that with them. The convenience...
Update to the dipstick thing. My Badlands w/2.7L was built early July and still has the same dipstick w/PN# FT4E-6750-BF that from factory shows oil to the twist after several days sitting in the garage.
Some posts on the Ronin plug indicates the way the plug projects into the pan will leave...
This all has the sounds of Harley riders v Metric riders... but in the end we all wave to each other while sharing the road... its about the adventure! Rivalries run deep and are all over the place: Navy v Army, Ford v Chevy... its all good, just keep it civil and have fun - Cheers!
Nope, hot rodding is far from dead, maybe in Jersey, but not out west where my rust free '73 has received its new power plant and loves it - ok, I do! When putting my two next to each other, running, only one sounds correct... When I had my 19 Mustang GT Premium, there was absolutely no...
