I am sure the "just like" comment was simply regarding basic function, as in they both disconnect the two sides of the bar. They discussed the technical and operational differences at length later in the video after using it on the ride.
I can relate to this statement. As recent as October I fully intended to order a new Bronco. When it came time to plan the family vacation this spring I ended up talking myself out of it. There were better options than ordering a brand new rig and waiting another year.
I still check the...
The headline "no manual sasquatch" got my attention, but that is just until 2022. No surprise,I figured 2022 anyways with how things are going...
But then I wonder if perhaps the headline is an unintended glimpse into the future...
...a watched pot never boils...
A 4-door has many pros, but they would only apply to small fraction of my uses. Benefits of a two door are less substantial, but apply each and every time I leave the driveway. ...or just parked in the garage for that matter.
The main reason is the longer the wheelbase of a vehicle, the more...
It seems pretty common for states to have "if it came with X, it must have X" laws. The biggest discrepency seems to be how local jurisdictions interpret that as far as things designed to be removeable. A strict interpretation would mean the top would have to stay on since it came with one...
Ideally you would be able to drop it in to 4-Lo, shift down into "Crawler" gear, and let the engine idle to take you over obstacles in one, smooth, controlled motion.
That said, if the above does not get your final drive ratio low enough, or if you need to stop on an obstacle, it can involve...
It was a can of worms, at least a few years back. Talked to some people who had the voluntary plug-in units and it got messy quickly. It started out ok until dings started showing up for driving too many miles, over accelerating, sudden braking, etc. It sounds like they were saving some as...
I am hopeful for a two-door basemansquatch with 2.3L to be priced in the low-mid 30s. Fantastic value.
It still seems crazy to me that you can buy two base models for what some of the loaded models cost.
I hope they figure out that if Sasquatch has around a 50% take rate that very possibly had the effect of skewing the takers for manual transmissions down significantly.
And the high take rate on the V6 for that matter...
No manual Sasquatch available in the build. Though I gotta say Base Two-Door Sasquatch with 2.7L for $38k is not bad. Hopefully when the Mansquatch is available they will also have a soft top available for the two-door. I wouldn't mind bringing that down closer to $33k. But then again, I...
I never mentioned X-plan as a cause for getting a Wrangler. I was just replying to a post asking why people look at Jeeps as an alternative, so I explained I looked back to Jeep because, for one example, the wait has simply become too long. I never reserved, so for me to get a manual sasquatch...
I think Ford is doing things well, but definately could have been better. I think they revealed too much at the start that turned out to be unclear or they reversed course on or is not for production or will be added later or may & may not happen or got delayed... and delayed.
But it has been...
Thank you for the well wishes! I still expect the Bronco to be excellent and be well worth the wait for everyone here. Looking forward to seeing some of the first Broncos out on the trails before too long!
I bit the bullet the other day and picked up a Wrangler. Took the kids out in my wife's 2-door JK Wrangler a few times the past couple months, had a blast! Finally decided I wasn't going to wait 1.5 years+ for a Mansquatch.
I will say I held out for a low-miles JK Rubicon and got a 2013 in...
I was trying to make out the tire size, video is not clear enough. The spare looks like maybe 37, but mounted they look more like 35s. Four-door can make them look small, would be easier to tell on a two-door.
After watching again, pretty sure those are 35s.
