I think the side molle panels will help spread load, so thats a good idea. I did buy a jcroffroad.com roof support kit for mine, the wedge that rci sent out for center roof latch doesn't seem like enough. Part of the issue I think is a ford thing and the rci rack just helps discover it...

Yeah, Since the plate is there I'm not gunna buy another....I saw that they were testing some new hinges....for now i'm running what I got till an issue crops.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissin rci... sone engineering hurdles we all have to work out. And ford engineering has its own set of issues too.

100% Mine didn't have sag before, like you say this roof will never be able to hold much untill something gets bolted to the roll bar, if RCI doesn't get with it, I will purchase the JCR brace

Mine is sagging as well, I noticed squeaky noises had increased by alot and when detailing yesterday I noticed this and decided to check this thread.... Sent rci an email. Problem is, even if I ditch the roof rack its probably still going to sag ...I'm guessing rubber/foam seals have collapsed...

Am I correct that this mount is also same thickness as the skin ?

The button heads and the black oxide carrige bolts, the button heads are the ones without stamped markings, I emailed awhile ago...haven't followed up with you.

No issues removing those side plates, just rusty hardware 😐

Anyone have photos of the back side of this bumper? if its all 1/8ths steel that seems kinda flimsy....

Mines rusting too, only solution is clean rust off and touch it up with paint...

Okay, who has one of these rear bumpers...the looks of the rear I actually like, price is really great too.
