  1. Sudden stop, bent hitch.

I had to have the rear crossmember of the frame that the hitch attached to replaced. It's not overly complicated, it's just cut out and a new crossmember welded in. You can have the frame laser measured to confirm if you need it done. Runs about $1,500 to have it replaced. Don't have your...
  2. BL SAS 2DR Suspension Question

Funny, have a set and they weren't long enough with spacers provided. Just ordered a Timbren spacer that will work that will allow for an additional 1/2 - 1" in height. Can either set within 1/2" of frame unloaded or touching frame. Will install early next week. Will they help with nose dive though?
  3. BL SAS 2DR Suspension Question

Rear-end sag when towing and nose dive/body roll around town when not towing is beginning to bother me. Best options for solving both? On road manners more important than full off-road capability. I will not be doing any hard-core off-roading.
  4. Installed my LOD rear bumper and license plate mount.

Cu Curious about the hitch being stronger than stock. Just got off the phone with LOD and they said the bumper offers no more hitch support than stock because the full support of the hitch is the 4 bolts in the center of the rear frame cross-member just like stock. They specifically said the...
  5. Sudden stop, bent hitch.

Trip to Moab with off-road teardrop, approx 2,600 lbs fully loaded. Think I bent the hitch. Can see in first pic the hitch is pointing down when it was level previously. Can't tell from hitch receiver bolted on frame pics where the issue is. Cross-member looks fine. Hitch receiver has a...
  6. Aftermarket Heavy Duty Springs for the Badlands SAS (Yellow) Shocks?

Did you take wheels off or just lift frame and install?
  7. Aftermarket Heavy Duty Springs for the Badlands SAS (Yellow) Shocks?

How difficult was the install? I'm wondering if I can just use a bottle jack between the axle and frame without taking wheels off. Rear only for tow sag. Contemplating taking spacers on/off just for my long trips. It it's simple enough.
  8. Raising/stiffening the rear only to compensate for cargo weight

I was leaning toward sumos but after hooking up trailer and driving I'm gonna have to mull it over some more. Sag wasn't as bad as expected (1 inch lower in rear, 1 inch higher in front) but the trailer weight throws the Bronco around (up and down) more than my previous tow vehicle. Gotta be the...
  9. Stiffer springs option?

  10. Tow Package arrived - contents inside

After installing the Curt 4pin harness my 4pin to 7way adaptor isn't working. All tow vehicle tailights and turn signals are fine but running and brake lights, and turn signals to trailer are not. Power to trailer works. 4 to 7 adapter grounded at frame. I did sand prior to grounding. Any ideas?
  11. Curt Plug-and-Play No-Splice Trailer Wiring Harness Out For Bronco

Good idea After installing my 4pin to 7way adaptor isn't working. All tow vehicle tailights and turn signals are fine but running and brake lights, and turn signals to trailer are not. Power to trailer works. 4 to 7 adapter grounded at frame. I did sand prior to grounding. Any ideas?
  12. Curt Plug-and-Play No-Splice Trailer Wiring Harness Out For Bronco

I was reticent too but I was reticent too but need a 7-pin for my trailer and wanted as much as possible inside. The panels were actually not that bad. Just had to find a couple of YouTube videos to give me the play-by-play. Disclaimer: I haven't put it back together yet.
  13. Curt Plug-and-Play No-Splice Trailer Wiring Harness Out For Bronco

I guess I could use the one that came with the Curt package! Lol. The only thing that sucks is if it blows I gotta take the panel trim off. If I did this does it forgo the need to put a 15 Amp fuse in the main box? I'm still wrestling with just running it to the battery as I already have...
  14. Curt Plug-and-Play No-Splice Trailer Wiring Harness Out For Bronco

I replied to VoltageDrop's comment/post, not yours. I'm a novice and just trying to figure out if using a 15 amp fuse is an issue, that's all.
  15. Curt Plug-and-Play No-Splice Trailer Wiring Harness Out For Bronco

Curt says to use no more than a 10 Amp fuse with their kit. The lowest available Mcase Slotted fuse type for that rear power box is 15 Amp. Think this is an issue?
  16. Tow Package arrived - contents inside

Sorry, novice here. Does this mean if we use I bought the package from your website but Curt says no more than a 10 Amp fuse. Appears 15 Amp is the lowest available for that fuse type. Think this is an issue for using the rear power?
  17. 2023 Badlands Story

So that is why you went with Non-SAS, you know you will be doing custom anyway? For somebody with SAS and similar concerns (maybe not quite as much weight) do you have any recommendations to consider if I need to stiffen up rear? Or would you go down the same path you are on if you already had...
  18. 2023 Badlands Story

Do you mind sharing thought process on suspension wrt to overlanding and towing? I read your thoughts on other threads earlier and you were undecided on suspension at time. Sounds like that has changed. I have a BL 2.7 2dr SAS and 15ft off-road teardrop. In process on hitch and wiring...
