Some awesome info here! I'm almost finished installing a 7 pin adapter with trailer brake controller. I just have the base Bronco, so install hasn't been super easy. Anyone happen to know the easiest way to access the brake switch signal wire for the controller?

I don't recall but is the harness not there behind the dash for a controller? It's a violet/white wire you can find in the C200 harness.

Thanks for the info! Wasn't sure if the base had a harness or not, but I will give it a look!

Not possible with FDRS. I spoke with some folks at Lumen who supply the current controller and they might be putting a complete kit together for later this year. Has to get approval from Ford but would be everything needed to install tow with braking.
@flip have you heard anything more on this? I had the brake controller installed at the dealer when I picked it up, and I’ve been sitting on the 4 pin wiring harness. I’d like to get full 7/4 functionality but wanted to see if there was a more holistic option yet.

I have not and since nothing has materialized yet, assume they mothballed it. He acted like the kit wouldn't be an issue for them but getting Ford to sign off on the integration portion would/could. Also, they could be running into the same semiconductor issue like everyone else and decide it wasn't worth the investment or time.

It's hot all of the time.
Sorry, novice here. Does this mean if we use
I would vote two, since there are the 30 and 40A available in the same connector, have one for future use.

Those 15A fuses are hard to find! Cost me close to $20 for a 5 pack shipped.
One or two fuses? I have abt 100 15A and would have to bump the price a bit.
I bought the package from your website but Curt says no more than a 10 Amp fuse. Appears 15 Amp is the lowest available for that fuse type. Think this is an issue for using the rear power?

The 15A should be fine. The connector that's being used for the power supply has 12V supplied to it even with the key off.

So I built my harness from the front back. I had another guy that reached out to me that couldn't get it to work. He purchased the entire harness that runs under the bronco to everything, from the connectors behind the drivers fender. I looked for mine they are available from ford but for the price I'll stick with mine I built.

After installing the Curt 4pin harness my 4pin to 7way adaptor isn't working. All tow vehicle tailights and turn signals are fine but running and brake lights, and turn signals to trailer are not. Power to trailer works. 4 to 7 adapter grounded at frame. I did sand prior to grounding. Any ideas?
