I understand your frustration and, hopefully, just venting.
This isn’t typical and maybe you need a new dealer or get the regional rep involved I don’t know.
mine is solid as have been all my other Fords (including the much-mailigned 6.0 diesel!)
Good luck.
And they show up with a new generic oil filter and a jug of O'Reilly 5W-30 full Dino oil. Problem was no o-ring. I guess they didn't teach them to lube the o-ring in tech school?
Now I'm really pissed. Can someone please pay attention to the details? Synthetic blend at the minimum, I paid for...
There’s also the issue of warranty. I bought a 100k mile warranty. No warranty is going to cover any Lubricated part failure on an engine that has been ran without oil.
Pretty sure it's a case of double o-ring and is coming down the chute on the driver's side of the engine. It was cold and dark and I don't want to touch anything until they get a look at it and think I had something to do with it. The entire underside is coated with oil leaving me to believe it...
Good point on the no warnings. If it lost oil pressure it would've shutdown. So I think I've just got a big mess and they've got some cleanup to do. Thanks!
In September, I bought a '21 Bronco Big Bend 2.3A at the local Toyota dealer for well above MSRP. It was the first 4-door hard top I'd seen in the wild. I also pre-paid for 4 synthetic oil change and service. it was $200, not much more than I'd pay for the oil alone so I said what the heck. I...
Meh. You’re totally overthinking this.
In general with any machinery you should take it easy on ANY engine when it’s cold. I’m not talking prolonged warmup, just baby it until the oil and the block is warmed up. Likewise, if you’re working it hard, I wouldn’t pull to the top of the Ike Gauntlet...
For sure! I’m averaging 25 mpg in my stock Big Bend in the Columbia river gorge where there’s no such thing as flat roads and no wind! driving 35k miles/yr that kind of mpg make using a 4 door bronco doable as a daily driver
Hi 6G fans. New member, just bought a 2021 4-door Big Bend hard top, 2.3L auto. Super happy so far. Rides almost as good as my 2020 Explorer did and will be way better in the snow with fenders big enough to kick the snow out! Looking forward to doing a few mods. Thanks for the add!
