Simple. If you plan on going with 35” or smaller tires, get non sas. Badlands are great in any model. If you are going to install 37” or bigger tires, get sas. Gearing is what’s important. I run big 37s (MT Baja legend MTZ) and heavier wheels and still average 17 miles per gallon.

As far as mud terrains go, they are not obnoxiously loud so I’m happy with them. The Nitto Ridge grapplers i had on my 4Runner were quieter but I like the Baja Legend MTZs better.
Hood deflector has significantly helped with bug splatter. Still get a little but not anything close to before.

Looks perfect! Great choice! I purchased the protection rings for mine during their Black Friday sale. They are solid steel but you can get aluminum. I went with a graphite blue wheel with my Area 51. Not everyone’s choice of colors but works for me. I couldn’t be happier.
