I too am interested in a Detroit TrueTrack LSD. Anyone have one installed? I realize having a welded ring and pinion means I'll need to replace with a M220 JL ring and pinion, but how much harder does that make the job? Anyone have a ballpark labor cost to expect for the job?
I have a 4dr big bend, auto, with the 3.73 gears. I wish I had been able to get a rear locker at minimum. I also have 35" tires and would appreciate the gearing change. What would be required to install these on vehicle? Ant addition parts or considerations?
Thanks for the response. I believe the Yoko's are M+S rated, but not snowflake rated. The Bridgestone Duelers that came stock are also M+S and not snowflake rated. Was wondering if the Yoko's would so much worse than the pizza cutter Bridgestone's that it would make sense to swap.
I have Yokohama Geolandar AT-X's in 35/12.5/17. I have nothing but good things to say after ~1,000 miles in mostly dry conditions. I've never had another larger off-road worthy tire though, so I don't have a direct comparison. I'm definitely pleased with the ride and the noise.
I have a big bend that came with the stock 255/75/17's tires. I did a 2" level and upgraded to Yokohama Geolandar X-AT's in 35x12.50r17 with aftermarket wheels. I live in Ohio and am wondering if the 35's are going to do okay in the snow? Or, would I benefit from putting the stock wheels/tires...
