The other side of the question and of equal importance is “how hot before shut down” especially during break in. Read up on fuel dilution and how to avoid.

FWIW it is my understanding that later model F150s with 2.7 are same setup and same issues.

I put roughly a 50% mix. I’m also going to add some blow by out of the catch can and cycle it up to 185 degrees. The only thing I can’t simulate is belt tension. That said, it should still be an interesting test.

I was able to put my hands on a new Ford oil sump belt. This is the 70k mile belt everyone seems to be worried about with regard to durability and use with nano lubricants to solve the cam phaser issues. I’ll be watching to see if any issues come up. My cam phasers are still quiet. Next oil...

Good luck with engine removal. I’ve got mine perfect so i guess that leaves me to be the test monkey to see if i can wear out the belt in the sump.

Still as it should be…….whisper quiet on cold start. Can’t figure out the video at the moment. Must have been a software change.

There is plenty of info on this site to make an informed decision. My automatic/2.7 loves the tune. I like the new normal mode more so than the new sport mode. But then i’m old and appreciate different things for different reasons.

I saw on the news that a couple of female Astronauts on a space walk are missing a tool bag. You never know when things are going to come up missing.

The phaser assemblies just need a 4 oz splash of nano lubricant with each oil change. Synthetic or oil blend doesn’t matter.

………….I find the freedom of taking my Bronco out for even a short drive lets me relax and enjoy myself instead of thinking about the things I want to forget. Thanks for the post.

Nicely done. Will the winch interfere with the front sensor or will that be an issue to overcome?

Not to get side tracked but as a data point my 2022 bd has no issues with the wipers. Just went across the everglades and back in a down pour.
