There is a spot in the center console where you will put the 1st to fob, press start button (do not start engine) wait a few seconds, turn off. Remove 1st fob. Insert 2nd fob, press start, wait a few seconds, turn off. Place new fob in spot, start car. If it starts the new fob is programmed.

You should have price protection on a special order. Now you say "window sticker", is this the actual Maroney label or a build sheet from the dealership. Most of the time the window sticker never changes and should have the VIN # on both of them.

I used to roll start my 89 Ranger with 2.9L all the time, never had a problem other than not going fast enough to to it, and I just pushed harder the next time.
