I bought 6.75” kickers and they fit perfect. I didn’t install the mabett covers on mine and used the speaker grills. I like the look of the speaker grills and felt like the pods obstructed he speaker too much.
Same! I got the Mabetts on Black Friday and kicker speakers as well. I actually left the Mabett cover off the pod and used the grill that came with the speaker. With the forscan change I’m very happy with the improvement.
In the thread you linked look at this diagram. Look at "storage position" and see where the edge of the rack is in relation to the end of the plates. Looks like .4" (3.5" minus 3.1").
Now look at this pic of the rack installed. The edge of the rack plates looks like they are more than .4"...
I think you'll probably be fine. The 1Up doesn't just have a hole for the hitch pin to go through, it has a slot so you can adjust how far it's extended. The question I have in the thread you linked is whether there is truly enough room to flip the rack when not carrying the bike. The guy in...
Following - I'm interested in this as well! My concern would be something that was flapping around in the wind for a long drive making contact with the carbon bike frame and wearing/scratching it.
I'm laughing at the people suggesting you "fight" with the insurance company. What exact leverage do people think you have to fight them with? A few years ago my wife was in a bad accident, and our vehicle was totaled. I repeatedly argued with the insurance company over the total payout...
Can you show a picture? I'm not following the part about the hitch pin being threaded. I have the Pivot that I use with the 1Up rack. I don't have trailer wiring because I added the hitch aftermarket specifically for bike rack use, but I haven't had any issue putting the pin in from either...
I saw you posted a few times about this. :) I'm one of the OG downgraders - switched hard top to soft top and got my Bronco in Oct 2021. However, I've grown to love the soft top. You may drive it a while and see whether you like it before swapping for a hard top (which will be hard to find...
I'm not familiar with that bike rack or swing away part. I'm sure you can get the bike rack to work, maybe by using an extension, but I worry about the swing away. You mentioned the latch had issues with Jeeps. It will probably have the same issue with the Bronco. I have a Kuat swing away...
Do you need the swing away? That's up to you. Plenty of people just use an extension to clear the rear tire. The downside of that approach is that you can't open your tailgate when a bike is on the rack.
I don't live in Arizona, but I visited not long after I got my Bronco. I met up with another Bronco owner there and we did Bulldog Canyon. I took my wife and daughter who had never been wheeling before, and they loved it. It's about 45 minutes from Mesa where I was staying. Very easy and...
Yep, there was another thread on this recently and that’s where I saw they had updated the RakAttach. I felt like the Kuat was better than the previous version.
I guess I'm the odd man out. I've got the 1 Up bike rack and the driver side Kuat swingarm. Logically I felt that made the most sense, but after using it for over a year I think the passenger probably works best in most situations. Something that was brought up that I hadn't considered is if...
Can you share a pic of the pad rotated where it fills the gap next to the drawer? I can't fully visualize it. This is the same setup I have. I have the drawer and I'm trying to figure out how to set it up so I can occasionally sleep in the back. I was thinking I'd have to build a wooden...
