I use another Adam's product , Adam's Wheel & Tire Cleaner, on my Grabbers. Also with a stiff wheel brush. Its nasty stuff but it takes the bloom right off.
I have exactly the first option you are considering, on the same model. Assuming you are going 18" because you are keeping the stock wheels. Crash bars are on, no lift on mine. The tires are fine and were a decent stop gap until I go to 17's.
My dealer is $25 oil change for vehicles purchased there for the life of the vehicle. They also picked up the Bronco in my driveway and dropped it off last oil change for free (I'm guessing this part wont last)
The running boards can move at least 1/4 inch so could be off side to side. I moved mine back when I did the cutting board lift. You might want to find a spot on the frame to measure to, maybe the rear crash bar (if that wasn’t bent too)
Maybe Best Buy is different in other places but I would barely trust the Best Buys around me to sell me a PS5 game, never mind do a clean install. That said, I used a Hoel harness, and it just makes it so easy (and so easy to revert the install if needed)
Update after quite a bit of salt in the northeast. The eBay mod bumper it holding up fine but a couple of the washers have corrosion. These are just the ones on either side that get tire spray between the fender and bumper. Will address in the spring but it appears that although the bumper is...
I am in E MA as well. So far I've done all my installations myself, using all the resources on the board. I have heard (second hand) that Offroad Elements down the south shore has done Bronco work, they have a good rep on Google, and they do list Bronco parts of their site. I have no first...
I am running the brand name version (also on a 23 OBX). No issues at all. The price point wasnt so high to make it worth an Ebay flier on a knock off. If you can find a local dealer(which I haven't found by me) to do a ProCal, I'd just put the money toward that.
Just got around to finishing this mod after ordering the parts last month. Overall a cool mod for stock boards.
The Amazon orders bolts work great but were already showing light signs of rust after a week in the salt here in the Northeast.
I would highly recommend sourcing 1” thick material...
I bought my OBX off the lot with no options except the 2.7 and it sees 99% on road time. If I had decided to order one I would have got the 4.27, the aux switches, and mod bumper, just for the added versatility. I'm past trading it in for a customer order at this point even though the lead...
Rear storage/security. Spent my Ford points on the delux security enclosure. It just didn’t have enough flexibility for large items although it was very secure. I’ve now got a Diabolical slide tray (very slick item) and a Goat cargo tray. So more flexibility but less secure. But spent way too...
You can find plastic bumpers all day for next to nothing. I took mine to the dump after trying to give it away. Hardest part will be doing the swap if you have sensors or fogs.
