Don't expect FORD to cover catastrophic transmission failures after flat towing. My regular factory warranty coverage was denied and $6,300 later i had a new transmission bill to pay. NO COVERAGE!

the speed and distance you decide until the transmission burns up. Mine did after after 2k miles of towing always getting a flat tow enabled with an ok on the dash panel. $6,300.00 [not warranted] then a 4K trailer until someone figured this out. read other MANY posting on this forum. You will...

I beg to differ......mine was destroyed AFTER FLAT TOW ENABLED WAS INDICATED ON THE DASH. This was after 15-20 successful tows over 2k miles. So all the sudden I'm not doing it correctly?

if the rig survives the tow immediately buy hoards of lottery ticks.

answer is simple, dont reward scum.

it has been my experience that dealers are in the business for profit way more than customer satisfaction. if you think they are doing you a favor.....think again. what ever this carefree paint is you can bet it cost them less than half to get it done. The fact that they are calling it care free...

Have dealer sign an affidavit stating that the vehicle is SAFE to flat tow. when you do tow it and if the transmission is destroyed you will have something in writing.

those of us who have paid FORD for destroyed transmissions should get refunds for repairs from faulty engineering. don't hold your breath. i have not found ford to be customer oriented at all.

happened to a bunch of us. Same story, ruined transmission, vacation, built ford tough means tough to warrant. VERY UNHAPPY WITH FORD. they need a class action filed. perhaps when it get to the hundreds of cases something positive will happen.

dealer told me video is meaningless, they go the codes only. just saying
