  2. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

I have worked for dealers off and on in my automotive career, not in sales. There are times, even when you are not in sales, but are still privy to the numbers. Many times I have watched a dealer give "book value", based on the VIN number, then turn around and up the selling price because of the...
  3. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

Years ago you could buy Z71s in 2wd, I believe they had limited slip rear ends. The Nissan Frontier Desert runner was a 2wd. Ironically, high speed desert running (like the Raptor is tuned for) will work just fine in 2wd. Keeping up momentum is key for the desert/sandy conditions. A rear...
  4. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

https://www.extremeterrain.com/are-all-jeeps-4-wheel-drive-tech-guide.html That is a link to an article from Extreme Terrain.
  5. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

Actually, yes. The Wrangler forums have a couple posts about it. Earlier I said a 2012my JKU. It may be older. I haven't seen it in awhile. As far as the 90s stuff, guy I worked with had a late 90s Wrangler 2wd. Some friends in HS had 2wds. I wonder if it was for areas like CA, where I grew up...
  6. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

I know for a fact TJs were offered to the public with 2wd. Most being low end 4cyl and 5spd models. Also, there is a JKU that comes to my shop, 2012my, I think that is 2wd.
  7. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

I wouldn't compare a Bronco to a Crosstrek, but I understand where you are coming from. Now, if my choice was between a Bronco sport and a Crosstrek. The Crosstrek is a better deal in my opinion. Subaru in general offers alot of bang for the buck.
  8. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

I believe years ago, 90s you could get a 2wd wrangler. Couple of friends had them just don't remember the exact years.
  9. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

I have mentioned this before, but I call BS on the global demand/supply issue pop-up. I ordered my BB and it was delivered in less than 4mos. So?? I probably really should have ordered a Black Diamond, but I am really happy with my BB. Just wished I would have gotten a rear locker....but I was...
  10. Build & Price: Base Model dropped for 2024, lowest model now starts at $39,130

The 2024 Big Bend as has the same pop up as the 2023 base model did. I suspect they will drop the Big Bend in 2025. So much for making lower price point models.
  11. Bronco Production Restarts 11/2/23 and Scheduling Resumes 11/9/23

Just outta curiosity what Broncos are (23MY) you guys waiting on? Submodel and options? I'm just curious what is not getting built. Ironically, I ordered mine Big Bend, non-sas, mid-package, 2.7 in June and I picked it up on Sept. 1. So, now I'm wondering why some get held and others get done.
  12. Carbon issues in the making for 3.0L Bronco Raptor engine?

Carbon build-up on intake valves will be an inherent problem for all DI motors. IMHO, port over DI is the only way to reduce the probability of it happening. Separators and catch cans will help, but it may just take longer for it to happen. Prolonging the inevitable. Just my 2 cents. Does the...
  13. How many will do this?

I can't believe you would bust my insta out like that! 😂 I am always curious how many folks actually show all these woods and offroad pics, that never really go offroad.
  14. Bronco October 2023 Sales & Production: 4,805 Sold / 82 Produced

I think there was a big push to get vehicles out before August/September. I assumed I would not see mine until Oct/Nov. I purchased it Sept 1. Alot of dealers in my area seemed to get alot of Broncos starting in Mid-August. Now it makes sense why it happened with the looming end of contract for...
  15. Crossroads Ford

Is your Bronco a full synthetic oil change? If so, in my opinion, $89.95 oil change is well in line with current prices and actually, a little inexpensive when it comes to dealer service pricing.
  16. F___ ford

Does the 2.3L not have cam phasers or variable valve timing? Just not up to snuff on the 2.3.
  17. What Should I do in the Snow? (OBX non-sas, non-advanced)

It was just something I had thought about when debating to put in a trutrac. Why didn't it work for you? Just curious?
  18. Can I fit 35’s on a stock Badlands Non Sas?

Just an FYI. I learned by digging through tire specs, while heading down a rabbit hole one day that the 31570R17 is actually wider than a 35x12.5R17. Anyway, not trying to be a know it all, just something I was surprised by. Nitto lists the true 35x12.5 at 12.52 width and the 315/70 at 12.72...
  19. What Should I do in the Snow? (OBX non-sas, non-advanced)

I thought about adding one to my Bronco. Then after thinking about it, a TruTrac would negate the turn assist feature. A selectable locker would be a better choice, if you ever try to use the trail turn assist feature, otherwise the brakes would be trying to overpower the mechanical lock of the...
  20. Arkansas Broncos

@Ozbronco if you head this way, let me know. I live close to the Ouachitas and can meet up and get you down some of the less harsh stuff.
