It's a tiny dealer, and I get the impression that they don't have any technicians that could disassemble then reassemble a transmission. Judging by all the examples in this thread of dealers failing to perform this TSB correctly, I wouldn't dare take it to any dealer that hasn't successfully...
I took mine in to the dealer for this issue, and they were of course able to immediately replicate the issue. But they won't pursue the repair because, get this, "The TSB doesn't apply because the noise is also present when the vehicle is warmed up".
i.e. 'The problem is even worse than the...
A twill option that tried to match the hard top would be the thing that would make me pull the trigger. The Bronco already has a '50 shades of grey' thing going on, and I think the black Skyrider just clashes too much with the rear hard top shell. If it kind of matched, I 100% would buy.
My two cents: you should focus on a leather-wrapped stainless knob first. There is a reason almost every premium vehicle with a manual transmission has a leather (or alcantara, which is played out now IMHO)-wrapped shift knob, and the aftermarket would be wise to realize that while a billet...
I wish I had waited for these instead of installing the outrageously-priced Gatorbacks ($350 for just the fronts with no logo). The Gatorbacks are decent quality, but not worth the price.
You're right, the Sasquatch tires DO have some mild siping in the tread blocks. Not as aggressive as a 'severe snow service' rated A/T tire, but better than nothing. Most/all actual 'mud terrain' tires have zero siping.
Really it's all semantics. They either have siping in the tread blocks or not.
Siping=Good traction in light snow/ice
No Siping=Awful traction in light snow/ice
Anecdotal observations aside, any tire without siping will have MUCH worse stopping distance and skipad roadholding on light snow/ice...
I'm surprised we haven't seen more threads about folks with Sasquatch ending up in the ditch with light snow/ice on the road. MT tires have AWFUL traction in light snow/ice. They are fine in deep snow, but that's not typically what you'd find on the road. Around here, the first time it snows...
That is an amazingly restrained exterior design from Ford, considering how the Braptor looks like they let a 10-year old boy go on a shopping spree at Pep Boys.
The 'reserve and wait' model is clearly the direction things are going in the auto industry. It's funny, because when Tesla started doing direct sales we were mostly hoping that would disrupt/fix the worst part of the auto buying experience (dealer shenanigans), but instead we still have the...
That's the conventional wisdom, but in this specific situation, any luxury sedan/crossover (OP didn't specify Acura model) is going to depreciate MUCH faster than a new Bronco, at least for the next several years.
It's easier than ever to sell a car private party (Facebook marketplace is free and has gotten me very close to KBB 'private party value' the last several times I've tried), and failing that, Carmax/Carvana will give you auction value with just a few mouse clicks.
Anyone that puts themselves in...
This forum: "Windshield cracks due to flying rocks are so bad on the Bronco!"
Also this forum: "I'm not installing rear mud flaps; who cares about the vehicle behind me!"
Full disclosure, I also only installed front flaps (Gatorback). They are absurdly expensive for what they are, but there...
The 7MT displays your current gear at the top of the sad bar they call a 'tach'; dunno why they wouldn't do the same for the auto. Probably something FORScan could fix.
But yeah, the analog speedometer is unusable, and the 'tach' takes up way too much real estate for its poor utility.
Domestic automakers are still struggling with the cluster. They finally started to figure out analog clusters, then the screens became a thing and sent them back to square 1. Porsche friggin' nailed how to integrate screens with analog gauges, but then they made it worse in the latest models...
I've never had a vehicle repair outside of the original factory warranty that was more than a few hundred bucks to fix (a few sensors here and there, head unit in a Honda that they replaced for near-free even though it was FAR outside warranty since there was a TSB, etc.)
So I've already saved...
In a Wrangler, every drive is like an arm wrestling contest with the steering wheel. The Bronco basically drives like a crossover with a bit more wind/tire noise.
I haven't seen any of those people in this thread, or hell, this forum. Folks would be wise to respond to the actual points presented in this thread, not ill-informed points that morons are making on Twitter or whatever.
