My 2 door built in October ā21 has a similar paint issue. On the passenger rocker panel and on the driver door sill.
Iāve let my dealership know and theyāve brought the issue to Fordās attention (obviously the repair is covered by warranty)
Is anyone else planning to go to Moab for the Bronco Safari end of this week/weekend?
I plan on headed down from Salt Lake City Thursday late afternoon and will most likely camp at Swaseys Beach just outside of Green River that night and head into Moab Friday morning.
Originally I had planned to put a laminate on the top, but was worried how slippery it would be. So I decided to just leave it raw for now, and if I find it still too slick or that itās getting damaged Iāll add some non-skid.
They are 19.5ā and 20.5ā wide and 41.5ā long. They could be a little longer, but I have the MOLLE bags on the tailgate and wanted to leave ample room.
Even before I finally got my 2 Door Black Diamond back in late November I knew that I was going to be removing the rear seats. I drove from Maine to Utah as I had moved to Utah after placing my order at a Maine dealership. That trip solidified the need to remove the rear seats and build some...
I actually moved to somewhere with more mild winters, I lived in Maine and upstate NY before coming to Salt Lake.
There were times when my Xterra was coated in 1/4ā of ice, and I had to basically cut the ice to get the doors open.
The issue I have is the fact that the frameless doors require...
Yes the back opens fine, but on my cross country trip I did have an issue with water building up behind the gasket on the MIC top and freezing, popping the gasket off in a couple spots
I cleared all the ice out from between the gasket and glass as the base of the window, and it still didnāt roll properly. I think ice had built up where I couldnāt scrape it away.
I grew up in Maine so Iām very used to de-icing a car in the winter, but I feel like this is beyond an inconvenience
*Edit:
just want to clarify, I have lived in places with winter, and I know ice and snow makes windows not want to roll down. The issue is the frameless windows and auto roll down, the motor strains when the door is opened and the window wonāt roll down, even after clearing the ice.

The seats were great, very comfortable. The ride position is good, and the pedals are in a good spot. I never once used cruise control and my leg never got tired (I had to use it frequently in my Xterra to stretch my leg/foot).
Background:
I reserved and ordered a 2 door Black Diamond in Area 51 with the manual transmission, advanced 4x4, and roof rails in the first 12 hours. It was originally scheduled to be built the week of August 9th After being pushed back several times, it was finally built October 26th...
Just checked this morning, modules are populated and my tracker shows an estimated delivery date of November 12. I updated my info into the spreadsheet.
Basically had the same situation. Pushed from Aug 9, to Aug 16, to Aug 30, now Sep 20 (I got the email last night about the Aug 30 change, and just now got the newest delay).
I wouldn't mind so much if my current car wasn't costing me money, and I moved cross country since placing my order so...

I had dropped the tow package after the last scheduling emails came out.
Excited to finally have a build date, and one that is coming soon.
I have an order placed for a 2 door BD with minimal options (2.3L, manual, roof rails, tow package, advance 4x4).
After going to Moab and getting a chance to ride in 2 door with Sasquatch I had doubts about my order.
I want a manual, so going Sasquatch isnāt in the cards, so I thought about...
Ordered my Black Diamond with my dealer this morning. They didnāt give me an exact number for my place in line, but said Iām at the front of the line (07/14 reservation).
If itās not too late in the year, the summit of Mt. Washington.
But I also just moved, so I have 2,500 miles from my dealership in Maine to my new home in Utah to get a good pic
