They wire between the harness and the speaker. I soldered my connections, it's easy for me to install or remove them.
Their purpose is to block the low frequencies (bass) since the smaller speakers can't handle them well, which could lead to distortion.
Decent 4" Dash and rear pod speakers can be had for around $50 a pair.... Infinity, Alpine, Polk.
Add $10 per pair if you want the Ford style connectors, another $10 for bass blockers for the dash speakers.
Do you have a functional rear sub or was it deleted? If not, buy a surplus Ford Fusion...
How long did you wait for the APIM module to come in, and when was it?
My module was supposedly ordered 11/17/23. Still waiting for it to come in almost 2 months later.
My 8" screen started blacking out intermittently when it was 2 months old in August.
It's been constantly black since early November. Dealer has had an APIM module on order for 7 weeks now.... still waiting. At least the stereo still works.
I'm still waiting for an APIM module to come in from my dealer, it's been 3 weeks now.
My 8" Sync screen went black over a month ago. Stereo still works tho.
Dealer tried to do a software update on 11/17, had no effect, so they ordered an APIM module from Ford. Ford will need to program it...
I've been considering a portable cd player as well....
I love Pandora/Spotify, etc but don't want to pay extra for the necessary data plans. I currently still have the free XM service which is nice, but it's not gonna work in my other (older) cars/trucks.
Amazon has several portible cd players...
Looks like that is a complete assembly with housing, about $300. The speaker is not likely avail by itself.
Nice that MontanaBronco is offering you one!
The speaker has no magnet coil, and the amp has no components on the circuit board!
You can buy a Ford Fusion amp and a sbwoofer for about $200 and have a working sub. The wiring is already there, you do need to turn it 'on' via Forscan programming.
What year Bronco do you have? Many 23's have the subwoofer delete which already includes the subwoofer housing. For a 21-22 you'll have to build/buy something.
EDIT: saw your other thread where you said you have a 2023 Outer Banks. If you have the sub-delete, you can replace the non-working amp...
There is also a 90 day free trial offer for Pandora Premium.
Does that use the Bronco modem for the data or does it require a smart phone with a data plan?
I noticed if I disable the EQ (EQ off) the 'Occupancy Mode' setting disappears from the audio settings menu. I much prefer the 'Driver Compensation' setting, so I kept the 'EQ on' setting with Forscan. The 'all seat's setting makes the sound flat, the 'driver' setting adds a lot of depth.
Yeah, Ford (or their supplier) ran out of the speaker/amps from Dec '22 till about July '23. So we got 'fakes'.... allegedly so Ford didn't have to change their build process during that time.
I was in another high tech field where work orders/work instructions had to be approved every time a...
The '23 sub delete package has a complete sub enclosure as far as I can tell. The speaker is there but missing the magnet and coil. The amp housing is also there but it's not functional.... maybe it's empty. Wiring is in place.
I'm still waiting for my Fusion amp, should be here Monday, almost a...
Add the Ford Fusion amp and an aftermarket subwoofer such as the Kicker. Will cost about $200 shipped. Then you'll need to access with Forscan to adjust settings.

I hope the calm screen works in the night mode as well.
Options such as a simple Bronco logo/graphic would be a nice option to the clock display. Or a 'Nite' logo like my avitar. Or a Sasquatch walking across the screen..... how cool would that be!
Maybe we'll see some options once users figure...
Here's another vid showing the operation. He shows the night mode at the 20 minute mark. There are 'Day', ' Night', and "Auto' modes. You can leave it in night mode all the time. Can also turn the screen off completely, or use a 'calm' setting which only shows the time. He didn't say if there...
