  1. Wanted to Share Our Homebrew Bronco Configurator

Hello! While waiting for thie Bronco to come out my wife got the idea to build a little configurator page (she is a web developer on the side). I got my buddy to do the artwork, we purposely kept it pretty low-res and cartoony. I just thought it would be fun to share with you guys while we...
  2. Bronco Build and Price seemingly showed up on Ford Canada site

Thanks for the kind words! My buddy who is doing the images got confused and did not create all the tire sizes with all the suspension options, so some don't have tires.... He is out in the middle of the desert right now, I will have the rest of the images later this week (I hope). I will make...
  3. Bronco Build and Price seemingly showed up on Ford Canada site

Aww you guys found it. My wife and I are working on that. Not done yet, waiting on a few more images from my buddy who did the graphics.
  4. Bronco Build and Price seemingly showed up on Ford Canada site

Haha. Somebody on the web team has a case of the Fridays.
  5. New Email from B Ronco

Well that went sideways..... I am super duper excited about this. I cant wait to get the top off and be wheeling up in the Sierras. Hopefully next year.
  6. More Jeep people thinking about getting the Bronco?

I don't know if Ford is going to need to compete in the way a lot of people think they will. The Wrangler has a solid axle, and for a lot of people that is the end of the story. On the other hand, a small portion of people who buy a Wrangler buy it because it has a solid axle. Many people buy a...
  7. Left foot braking

It may very well be the case that it will only let you left foot brake in 4 Lo or something. Similar to the sway bar disconnect.
  8. Ford Patents “G.O.A.T.” Dynamic Suspension System (Including “Daredevil” Mode) for 2021 Bronco

I do not have a full speed version of that shot, sorry. dmtndan, As far as I have seen that render was only done of the two door.
  9. Left foot braking

Glad to hear it. It would be great if they did something similar for the Bronco.
  10. Ford Patents “G.O.A.T.” Dynamic Suspension System (Including “Daredevil” Mode) for 2021 Bronco

Don't tell anyone I told you, but Ohlins might be working on some Wrangler applications right now... I am excited about new opportunities with new platforms as well.
  11. Left foot braking

I am assuming you attended the school? Feel it was worth it? Who were the instructors?
  12. Ford Patents “G.O.A.T.” Dynamic Suspension System (Including “Daredevil” Mode) for 2021 Bronco

True, it's no fun at all when you have to replace broken parts. I was not aware that the premature failure rate was so high on the MagneRide dampers. If Ford specs some super fancy shock that overheats and blows seals all the time that would be a bummer. Chrispy, Those Bilsteins are a great...
  13. Left foot braking

You might not need to. Don't forget about Trail Control! https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2018/09/10/trail-control-brings-off-road-cruise-control-to-2019-f-150-rapto.html Haha! In all seriousness I doubt they would not allow you to left foot brake, especially if you are...
  14. Ford Patents “G.O.A.T.” Dynamic Suspension System (Including “Daredevil” Mode) for 2021 Bronco

You know, these days $400 a shock is not bad. The common shock many people are using with their Wrangler lifts are the Fox 2.5s, which retail for $1500 a pair, and they don't have any fancy party tricks. The Live Valve Raptor shocks are $3400 a pair. The shocks are really what dictates how a...
  15. Ford Patents “G.O.A.T.” Dynamic Suspension System (Including “Daredevil” Mode) for 2021 Bronco

This is pretty neat. Pretty sure every time someone has tried to assume some production facts out of a patent they have been disappointed. Lets try not and get our hopes up too much. Dont forget about what is actually in production right now though with the Fox Live Valve shocks. If you want...
  16. Let's overanalyze the mule undercarriage

Just for giggles, the Porsche 911 used a strut front suspension with a torsion bar, so technically that is a strut that is not a coil-over. You guys are bang on the money otherwise, typically a strut takes lateral loading and replaces a suspension member. Many new small SUVs (and CUVs) use...
  17. Let's overanalyze the mule undercarriage

Thanks a ton for all the breakdown! Seems like you guys have this all pretty figured out. The rear end looks like a standard Dana product, you can bet it uses the new Advantek gearset (less hypoid offset for more efficiency, different tooth profile resulting in smaller ring gear for more...
