I don't know we're at that point yet...but at some point Ford is likely to skinny down the capital outlay needed for max production on a component they see as obsolete in a few years.
demand always spikes for a new car, people who take the time to reserve a car the night its revealed tend to be more passionate than your average buyer. that passion means they all pick badlands with a 2.7L lux.
but what can they do? overbuild the assembly line for the engine just to service the first year than run it at 50% capacity the next 7 years?
