Has anyone used the ez4x4 hard top lift for the 2 door with a heritage model 2 door hard top?

I am going to reach out to ez4x4 directly with the same question, but I thought I would ask it here.

I have searched forums, FB, Reddit, ez's site etc. but can't find anything specific on the comparability with the heritage 2 door rear hard top section.

I've read a number of reviews but they are all for either the four-door or if it is a two door it's the NON-heritage model hardtop. 😳

I am curious whether the gunner's hatch on the two door model will create a problem with the lift and prevent the lift from working.

Unless you take out the gunner's turret, it shouldn't impact use of a lift.

And, that said, I'm thinking the top may actually be a lot easier to manage without a lift if that hatch is removed...I've got a painted top but haven't removed the turret yet.

How wide is that porthole window? The arms for the 2 dr lift are just a little over 27" apart.

That makes me think the arms of the 2 dr lift might be lifting the porhtole window. We would need some good measurements to know for sure. It looks like the arms are around 32" long so if you measure from inside the rear hatch forward, does 32" put you in the porthole window, it looks like it might.

Thx! we've actually removed mine - 100% topless - and It's not overly cumbersome, but it is a pain. I am still going to reach out to the company to confirm. I don't imagine that the gunners hatch will have impact it but I just want to confirm.

We have two heritage 2doors here and I'm more looking at the ezlift for my wife's. She doesn't really prefer to take the top off 100%. She prefers the two front sections removed plus the gunner's hatch only.

I'm old school lol compared to her. I prefer to just have it completely topless......and if I take it off, I will leave it off all summer.

Luckily we have a big enough garage that we are able to keep both of our trucks under cover. And we both work from home so we don't have daily commutes. It's just basically running errands, fun weekend drives, with the occasional work commute, etc..
It's about the width of the backseat

I was sidetrack ......as it has been such a nice day outside today.

Using the picture above as a reference it's ~ 37 3/4 inches. (The issue is do I include the seal or not?) so it's anywhere between 37 and 38 inches from left to right on the photo.

Front to back it's 25 3/4.

This was my thought initially.....is that the lift points on the actual cart mechanism are probably going to be spaced to lift on the gunners hatch. 🤣

thx for the input all!

as light as the top is I bet it does not matter if it lifts on the port hole. even if its right on the door. if you just put a 1x4 plank across it for the 2 rubber lift points it would defiantly do it.
