So I lied...more pictures, just not for another day. My last post got me to thinking: it's 80 deg in Dallas and I have about 30 min before my next call today. Didn't get the rear top off, but did remove the front 2 rows just for :poop: and :ROFLMAO:.

Congratulations Will! We all appreciate the photos and although you just picked up that beast, we will need boatloads of perceptions from you on driving, exhaust notes, build quality, etc, etc, etc! Enjoy!

Thank you for posting! I ordered the same but graphic delete and have been on the fence about switching color. Nope, not anymore after this. What interior did you decide. I did the blue leather and curious on the combination. Any story behind getting delivery? We’re you a GT holder or something else.

That color looks like Carbonized Gray Metallic in low light and Area 51 in light. Maybe its just the photos. Congratulations on the new Bronco! Nice find!

Thanks for the comments…I was actually on the fence with the Azure as I wanted something that showed more contrast with the black accents (wheel wells, hood, etc) but when the opportunity came with a decent price I decided that I’ll learn to love the color. I have a Cactus Wildtrak on order and still don’t have a build date so the time waiting ended up time spent shopping for a Raptor across the country. After many conversations and close calls, I ended up getting one right here in Dallas.

We’ve all seen the videos and reports of the suspension capabilities of the Raptor and I was definitely wanting something that could handle trails at speed thus the WT w/ HOSS 3.0. Texas Off-Roadeo was a blast and I learned that even the base Bronco’s are more capable we probably understand but the Sasquatch and Wildtrak models are beasts…the Raptor just ratchets things up to 11.

The ride is better than expected. I’m coming from a JL 4xe, so it doesn’t take much to improve but Raptor obviously makes you feel as though you can drive over anything without a chance of injuring your neck or knocking your steering into Death Wobble (mine required services visits 3 times for The wobble without ever making it off of pavement). Now, she is a hefty lady, but she handles her dimensions well. I am being careful getting used to the width and spending more time finding a parking spot that not only fits but leaves the neighboring cars respectful room.

Besides all of the suspension upgrades, what really sold me to close the deal is the interior. It’s just a different experience altogether. Mine has the leather/suede seats that really hug my frame better. The thicker steering wheel also feels really good in the hands. Mine also has the Carbon Fiber trim…interesting but I could have done without it. Don’t see the point of ‘lightweight’ trim, esp $1800 for a few pieces…but that’s what this one had it so no choice. The electronic dashboard adds to the experience as well.

In all, the Braptor is a package that can’t be recreated through upgrades on other models. All of the frame and suspension work can’t be replicated by the aftermarket while the dashboard and interior upgrades aren’t exactly minor items if someone wanted to upgrade.

More to come as I get more time in her…ready for some sunlight for more pics to show the color better as well.

I have a WT on order but been shopping around for one as prices have been declining. So no influence on the build. This one has the black Leather/Suede interior and Carbon Fiber trims. I haven’t seen a Blue/Orange interior one in person, but that was an option that I’d pass on when I saw them. It’s not that I think it looks bad…just not for me. And being from Louisiana, I couldn’t have an interior that shouted Florida Gators or even Auburn Tigers.

As for the decals…another item that was on the build that I’d probably leave off. For me, the Braptor is already obnoxious enough and it’s not like you need to advertise what it is. I also think the decals work on paint colors that provide more contrast (white, cactus, orange, red, silver) but doesn’t pop as much with azure. Another item that I’m going to learn to love, but I’ll love it every time I walk up and every time I start it up!

With all the Braptor's I've seen so far are hard tops, is the soft top not available on this?

Nice ride, in direct sun light the paint scheme will most likely be more vibrate.

Great score. Since you got this by shopping around, did they treat you good with pricing?

Thanks. As far as pricing…yes there was ADM…but given there was more upside in my trade value than there was ADM I saw it as a ‘fair‘ situation. In the end, I basically financed a couple grand below MSRP.

I was wondering the same. You seem very happy so it doesn’t matter as you got the deal you wanted, but I’m curious if the 110-120k prices I’m seeing are staying. The one I have on order is an agreed 10k over msrp. Of course I’m shopping because the wait is killing me, and while I love my badlands SAS I want the raptor yesterday.

Man I love that color. Had it been available in 2022 I probably would have got it instead of the Code Orange.

Thanks for the post. I have pretty much the same build on order and currently scheduled to be built in February. Your post has me even more excited and confirmed my Azure Grey color choice.

My big debate was leather color, graphics and carbon fiber. I ended up switching from blue to black leather (too many shades of blue?), dropped carbon (didn’t see the value), and added graphics (yes, I agree a little over the top, but oh well).

Would love to see a few interior pics. Thanks.
