Here’s the punchline: You can’t beat the accuracy of the Harbor Freight $20 1/2”-drive torque wrench for the price!!! For $20 you get a torque wrench that is within 2% of being accurate (4% with an extension but, unless you’re tightening the lugnuts on deeeeep wheels, you should never use an extension when using a torque wrench). And, if you’re concerned with how long it stays accurate, replace it once a year.
All that said, I checked the lugnut torque on my new BL today and found them all about 1/4-turn under 100ft-lbs. The air pressure in all 5 tires was also 43-45psi cold (dropped them all to 40). I also put my BL next to my 2006 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon for some dimensional comparisons, VERY interesting!!!
