Just remember this current "AI" bubble is not Artificial Intelligence at all. It is just a simple, but accelerated, machine learning tool. It is not learning to UNDERSTAND data nor REASON what it is being shown, it is merely learning how to change it's simulation to get the "good" feedback. First thing that came to my mind was were on a tight budget due to recalls. I bet complementary snacks in the breakroom are done at corporate too.

Its funny you mention that, I've had 2 software recalls since owning mine for almost 5 months, mentioned it to a coworker that has a GM 6.2 and he said, you got it easy, im getting my engine replaced. I guess everyone is doing it nowadays

Yeah those motors are getting fragged with no miles on them. Quality control, covid, outsourcing? who knows. I actually had my 2.7 replaced under warranty but that caused a whole host of other issues. back in the day i had a 5spd saturn that i got for $500 with a billion miles on it, beat like a rented mule never changed the oil, that idled dead soft and ended up selling to someone for $550. Those were simpler times lol. Cars back then had their issues but you would think the newer ones would have less. They do not lol.

I have already seen the fake posts about it. Same with the "New GT500" that says "FRoD Musng G15OO" with incorrect fonts and emblems. Or the New "FARD FI5~O" that has a Raptor front end and a Bronco body.

It's all just engagement-bait originating from areas predominantly occupied by scammers and tech support reps named "John Smith"

I was just speaking in jest, but it's scary how many organizations (corporations, government agencies, colleges, etc.) want to put AI into lots of things, with unlimited trust and basically no vetting. The hype is totally out of hand, along with the amount of trust people are willing to put into LLMs.

It's not magic, it's just a tool with a lot of flaws and shortcomings. True ("general") AI is nowhere in sight, and current "AI" is incapable of evolving into general AI.

As an aside, expect the AI bubble to burst at some point when it fails to deliver the massively increased profits being dreamed of. That will mean severe stock market turmoil that may spill over into the economy. Hopefully it won't be any worse than the dot-com bust, but we'll see.

AI is regurgitating into itself. We're already seeing the effects. It's great as a customized tool for research, indexing, concept generation, etc, but beyond that it is simply too dangerous to use. People are asking ChatGPT for medical and psychiatric advice...

As an experiment, I asked ChatGPT to create a matrix of certain safety levels and componentry for a specific hazardous application. It was surprisingly thorough, but made a few glaring errors that could result in death.

Too true, Dr. Google has become Dr. AI. Physicians have always had to deal with patients (or even more often, patient's stressed out & dysfunctional family) who question everything with all sorts of "the internet says this" but AI has just add to the ignorance

A real General AI with the ability to be applied to any problem would require several orders of magnitude more processing power then the current LLMs that are already taking up more power that we humans seem to be able to produce...
