This is another Wolfbox g900 tripro review. Wolfbox sent me a g900 tripro system to try out in my 2023 Ford Bronco, 2 door Black Diamond . My Bronco does not have a factory front camera. I was very excited to try this system out and be able to have a front camera for my off roading. Here is my honest review of the g900 Tri-pro system by Wolfbox.
What comes in the box.
The system I was sent has the rear view mirror, rubber straps for mounting to my existing mirror, 3 cameras, GPS sensor, and a direct hand wire kit , to wire directly to my fuse block. The mirror itself has a dash cam mounted directly to it. There is also a rear camera, and an additional camera which I chose to mount on my front bumper, for the purpose of seeing rocks, steps and drops when off roading. The kit is very complete and I needed nothing else to install the system in my Bronco. It had all the wires, zip ties, double sided tape, and trim panel tool to get the job done.
Installation
The installation was pretty easy once you figured out how you were going to string the wires. Take into consideration that the Wolfbox g900 system is a universal system, and can fit any vehicle. So there is no directions on how to run your wires or how to wire into your fuse block. There are just too many different vehicles out there to write directions for all of them. After a watching a few YouTube videos, it was pretty simple. The front camera wire went from the front of the Bronco, down the drivers side fender and through the rubber grommet that plugs the hole used for if you had a clutch pedal. Then up the drivers side A pillar and across the front of the inside of the windshield to the mirror. The rear camera I chose to mount on the inside of the hard top. I thought this would keep it from getting dirty as fast. The wire went along the top of the rear window, then down the side where the other wires are for the rear window. Then along the driver side floor, then up the door jam and A pillar and over like the front camera. Overall the installation was simple and a plus to my experience with this system.
Now for the actual review of the product itself. The G-900 Tri pro does exactly what it says it will do. It gives you all the cameras. The touchscreen is very user friendly and easy to navigate. The pros of this system is having the cameras.
The rear camera gives a nice wide angle view and from where I have it mounted, I have a view of both blind spots in my Bronco (Very handy). It is also very nice to be able to use the rear camera as a rear view mirror when the back of your Bronco is full of gear for a camping trip.
The front camera has the same great wide angle view from it and I found it to be very useful when cresting a hill whether you are going up or down it.
The cons of the system for me was that the cameras seem to be a little dark for me. Even with the brightness is turned up all the way. It is especially hard when you have been looking out the front window at the brightness of the day and then looking at the display.
The system actually works a little better for me when driving at night. It seemed to be better than using the stock mirror.
The front camera does show objects as close as 18” front the front, but I did not find that they helped me with positioning my wheels or seeing the depth of drops or steps. I still found myself needing to get out of my bronco to assess the situation. So overall I would say if you are under the understanding that the system will help you in seeing the road when cresting a hill or when you need to have a unblocked rear view mirror, then the system is great. I give it a high review for those features. If you are looking for a camera system to help you when you are off roading, up and down big steps, or over big rocks, there is probably not a system out there that will do that well including this one.
Would I buy this system, yes I would. Just know your expectation. If you are looking for a good camera system and a good price check them out. I believe they are on sale now https://wolfbox.com/pages/summer-sale-2025/
