Has anyone tried modifying their factory step brackets? I know on the Super Duty trucks you were able to swap F-150 brackets on and it raised the steps about perfectly even with the bottom of the cab. I dont mind the factory steps, but would love to be able to raise them up snug to the body and hide the pinch welds. I'm away from the vehicle right now but was curious if there was a way to cut the brackets and shorten them a bit to raise the boards.
