Hello all,

So I just got my Bronco thanks to someone trying to scalp it and Ford catching them. Ironically also I had my Bronco Sport lemoned out literally the same day. Looking forward to bigger adventures with less MPG lol

Awesome, congrats. Hope you have better luck than you did with your sport.

Ford as in the dealer or Ford as in the Corporation cracking down on a dealer?

Also, what was the issue with your Sport?

Ford dealer got a call from someone who reported the guy.
Issue with the Sport was that when I got it, the windshield was warped, making driving it like driving with the wrong prescription glasses on. Took a month to get that in. next was the transmission shifting assembly would randomly decide to go into park while driving. That was fun. Another month. Finally 3 days ago it started making a rotary clacking noise which got louder and louder. Turns out the tire end of the CV axle had just decided that breaking apart would be fun.

Yikes, well congratulations on the BaseSquatch. 2.3 7MT or 2.7 10sp?

Hope my Sport continues to be a good pony until the big horse arrives!

2.7. Base model, sasquatch. Nothing too fancy to keep the price down, but can add on the toys as I go :)

Was my first choice until they said no MT! Of course that was early on. Decided on Badlands High. Hopefully before they take my license away. Picked up the BS Badland to fill the void for now.

I still dont understand the scalping thing
Here in Colorado the vehicle I got for 50k would go for 62k in a couple hours. Its about fronting some money to make a lot of money, and while I get it, I dont think its right. If somethign happened and I needed to sell this, it wouldnt be for profit and it wouldnt be to someone who was gonna scalp it.

What's not to understand? Original order holder probably tried to sell it before taking delivery. It wasn't his to sell. They should have waited to actually take delivery before trying to sell for a profit. Some of these flippers don't have the cash to float the payments for a month or two so they try to get their fish on the line before taking delivery to lessen their exposure to added expenses.

Person reported them to the dealer and the dealer does not have an obligation to sell to someone who in turn is trying to sell it before they own it.

Question to ask the OP is whether there was ADM with his Bronco purchase.

Edit: Looks the OP answered that question by paying $50K for the VB Basesquatch.

Yeah they marked it up unfortunately. Dealers marking up MSRP is a business. Scalping is a problem. #sarcasm
