I just got back from Bronco off-rodeo in Nevada. I can’t say enough good things about the experience. It is a 5
operation, something that is almost impossible to find anymore. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The training was informative, complete, and interesting. The lunch and dinner were awesome. The trails were doable with a balance between easy and somewhat challenging, and the Broncos were clean. Learning about the incredible machine was so helpful to a new owner. Our guide, Diego, is a seasoned off-roader and can work magic with the machine. He showed us a way to get unstuck without lockers! Spinning donuts with the trail assist was a blast.
If you’re a seasoned off roader, the Nevada trails might be a little boring for you, but the trip and experience would still be worth allocating a day of your time to. And, it’s free if you own or have a Bronco on order. The only negative was a lack of a sign at the turn off from the Blue Diamond highway. If you go, turn onto the BSA (Boy Scouts of America) road and drive to the Bronco Off-Rodeo gate. Ignore the no trespassing signs.
I am so impressed with the event that I am trying to get on a trip to the New Hampshire facility, preferably in the snow.
Lodging is cheap at the newly renovated Sahara ($187 for four days!). Our room was big, beautifully done, and clean. . The check in was easy and friendly. However, getting our room cleaned and re-stocked with laundry was a challenge. The concierge was about useless. But hey, at $47 a night, we could live with that. Downtown Las Vegas is pricey. Expect to drop $150 for dinner for two. A glass of beer runs from $10 to $40! So, go to the outskirts. If you like real Mexican food, a great, reasonably priced place is Casa Don Juan. Otherwise,Wendy’s and a six pack might be in order.
