Can't seem to find a part number for the parking sensor on the capable bumper, any help is appreciated.

Bronco shows front parking sensors on the passenger side are not working, random front sensor not working and parking aid not working messages displayed.

Had the dealer look at it when doing an oil change and they want $959.99 labor to remove the front bumper and replace one sensor at $75.15.

$1040.99 with tax out the door. :bandit:

Technician said the inner sensor on the driverside shows an impact, so it isn't covered under warranty. Ignoring that the sensors not working are on the opposite side of the vehicle. I asked the service writer if she realised that the cover pops off and there is no need to remove the bumper to replace the inner sensors, asked why I'd be charged to R&I the bumper, she didn't have a response. The part number the dealer listed on the estimate may not be correct and I'd prefer to verify prior to ordering one thru the dealership for $30 to $40. Same dealer lists the parts thru Ford Parts.com for about $30 less than they want to charge me if installed by them?

Thanks!

When was yours built? I ran into issues with part numbers on mine because it was a couple weeks after a mid year part switch.

NU5Z-15K859-AQPTM

The other part that it may be is JU5Z-15K859-APTM. It seems to have only been used on certain Broncos during summer of 2023 (probably exactly what @Papa Smurf is talking about). But I can't be 100% sure.

Dealers have the ability to plug in your VIN into Ford's part system to see exactly which part you need. Usually I just go to my dealer's parts counter, they help me narrow down the specific part number in situation like this and they're almost always cheaper than what can be found online.

When I did my Capable to Modular swap, I needed part number NU5Z-15K859-DG. My Aug ‘23 build has always been picky with what sensors it will accept.

Kon - Thanks!!!, that's the part number that the dealers estimate shows, but on FordParts.com the picture shows the wrong connector. I'm going to order one and see if it's the correct connector.

Smurf - That’s the issue, everyone that posts a sensor part number is swapping to the modular bumper. I can find the part number for the modular bumper, but can’t seem to find the one for the capable bumper.

Capable needs the connector on the left:

@Ford

That's not gone well, thus far I have ordered two parts both are wrong!

NU5Z15K859-DG

NU5Z15K859-AQPTM

The dealer tells me that looking up my vin shows NU5Z15K859 ** as the correct part. Calling Ford is even worse they tell me both part numbers I have ordered will fit, and if they don't there is nothing they can do?

Absolutely ridiculous that neither Ford nor the dealer can provide the correct part number, but at least the dealer is willing to charge me $959.99 labor to remove the cover held on with clips (takes about two minutes to remove and replace).

The battle continues

Do you have a picture of the one you need? Or the engineering part number off of it?

I posted a picture of the required configuration in post #6 (the one on the left is what I need).

Thanks,

Mike

There’s a black one and a tan one depending on build date. Can‘t verify either without an engineering number, but they look correct.

Thank you!

Looks like the CA part is discontinued and the MB part is on back order, but I have the correct number now.

Thanks again!

CA is still available with plenty of stock.
But you’re correct the MB is on backorder.
