I covered the bottom of the radiator with a piece of Polycarbonate so if the fans turn on they will only pull air trough the radiators…

FWIW, I have this same intercooler on our Bronco with the OEM shutter shroud installed. I chose to remove the blades from the shroud so the air would still be directed/channeled through the intercooler and not around the edges.

It is extremely easy to remove the blades without causing any damage to the assembly and they can be re installed if needed.

Since these pictures were taken, I removed the snap in plastic cap as my Bronco does not have adaptive cruise control.

First photo shows the bottom section of the shroud and how it keeps the air directed directly into the intercooler.
