Which hitch extender do you recommend? I purchased a 2" Topsy brand extender and there is too much play when I have a bike rack on. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

There will always be play in an extender unless you get one with the threaded bit inside--sometimes these are called "anti rattle kits." There are lots of options out there.

I installed the Curt tow hitch. Can't tow shit because the spare tire is too low. I bought the Rough Country spare tire lift kit which made plenty of room for towing, no need for the tow hitch extender, and if/when I decide to put 35s on, I have the correct spare tire spacing already in place.

We've had pretty good success with these Curt units, the best we've sourced and many happy customers...I do believe you'll find this a quality product.

Since I deleted tow package to try and get mine actually built and shipped! .....so from I read, these connect/wire into the taillights? No need to string wire thru the cabin? I recall trying to do that on my Taco years ago, and learned about parallel and series connections....

Was just about to buy this from another site when I saw this post. Might as well buy from a sponsor and save a few bucks!

Thanks for sharing
