Just installed a set of CVF Catted Downpipes on my 2024 Badlands 2.5L
Followed the recommended break in procedure included by CVF in the package - except before starting the break-in, I flashed the ECU and re loaded my Ford Performance Calibration. After around 40 miles the CEL came on. As I said, I have a Ford Performance Calibration installed so I plugged the Calibration tool into the OBD and read 2 "Downstream Catalytic Efficiency" Error codes. P0420.
First time it happend I cleared the codes and then drove another 25 miles before it threw the codes again. Cleared those and so far its been around 30 miles with no codes thrown. I did check all the bolts and seals to be safe and all seem good to go. What could be causing this? (PS im also running and AFE Momentum GT CAI and Turbosmart dual port BOV)

Also, around 3500-5000 RPM these are raspy as heck. Doesn't sound like heatshield or metallic rattling it sounds like resonance of some kind.

Thinking about the Injen Catback exhaust with the dual resonator/mufflers... perhaps that will help?

Did you install the supplied rear O2 spacers?
And yeah the rasp is pretty well known from all the other reviews on it, additional resonator should help.

There were no spacers that I was aware of. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I wonder if its possible that those somehow did t make it in the box? I will call CVF today and see if they can send me a set

If you have all the other standard performance goodies you might be bumping up against needing a custom tune soon.

I'm in the middle of the CVF Downpipe install just broke the 3 bolts connecting the catalytic converter to the turbo (What a Pain!).

Was wondering if anyone had advice on a proper torque once I do the install and tighten those 3 bolts down; at just 2500miles on my 2024 Big Bend the bolts felt very seized on.

Would enjoy anyone's advice on how many lb foot would be sufficient. Thanks!

I just used the the torque spec based on bolt/nut size. It doesn't need to be very tight and im suprised they were tight enough to have them snap.

There's only 2 nuts securing each converter to the turbos.
Unless you're referring to a 2.3L, which has 3 nuts?
Either way, 2.7 is 30 ft. lbs and 2.3 is 35 ft. lbs

If you broke the studs, those will need to be replaced and torqued to 18 ft. lbs

Thank you for the fast reply OP. Stud was not damaged it just made a violent sound when I began putting the mojo to the breaker bar. Had to use a 3/8 due to limitations of tools and adapters/extensions until my upgrades arrive in the mail.

To Ducati1098- Yes, its 2.3 and I felt studs they don't appear to be broken or damaged but went ahead and bought a set of x3 studs as well as a new gasket just now so once I put it all back on it will be a proper resealing. Thank you for informing me the studs are @ 18!

Btw did you or anyone use antiseize lubricant when tightening bolts and/or studs back down to the Ecoboost turbo? Seems like adding some Permatex couldn't hurt at least applying to the stud threads for the long haul (thoughts?)

No problem.
I did not add anti-seize or anything else to the studs

Only anti-sieze I used was on the spacers for the Downstream O2 sensor (which I found under the packing foam in the box )
I would not recommend using it on those studs. Torque to spec and they will stay put
