Display is very dim ?

My 12” snd main display are very dim. It is defaulting to night mode. I manually change it to day mode. It’s still dim but better. The brightness level adjust won’t go over half way. I’m thinking I read there is a reset. But I don’t know how. Any ideas? I’m traveling.

You can do a soft reset I believe by pressing down the volume button as well as the skip button for about 10 seconds

Well. I couldn’t see my on screen map.. because there was a map on the dash.
