About one hour home driving to the Milwaukee area from Manitoba I went to get off the freeway for gas and couldn't find my clutch pedal. A brief but frantic search found it about 2" higher than normal.
The clutch stop must have failed. Operation is normal except I can feel a little click as I press it, probably pushing it past the broken stop.
Anybody else have one fail? Mine is a 2023 with about 75k miles.
Anybody know where this is physically located and how it functions? Tomorrow in the light I am going to investigate, with a backup plan of using a rubber bump stop on the pedal shaft if I need a part. A bit of weatherstrip cement and a zip tie for extra safety should do the trick. (Weatherstrip cement has held the rubber stoppers used for steering stops on my HPN BMW G/S for 17 years now.)
