Fast Blinker after Alpharex head/taillight install

24 Black Diamond. Had Form heads and tails previously. Headlights went bad so got the Alpharex heads and tails. Installed and everything seems to be working including 3rd brake light, however my dash blinker intermittently is going double time. Doesn’t happen every time but going nuts trying to troubleshoot this.

No idea, I like the OEM lights so not an issue. Here's what Google says for "Alpharex fast blinker noise":

The fast blinking noise and rapid flashing you are experiencing after installing AlphaRex lights is a condition known as hyperflash. [1] This happens because AlphaRex LED lights draw much less electrical power than your vehicle's factory halogen bulbs. Your vehicle's computer mistakes this low electrical draw for a burnt-out bulb and triggers the fast-flashing warning sequence to alert you. [1, 2]
How to Fix the Fast Blinker Noise
Depending on your vehicle type and how your lights were set up, you can fix this in a few different ways:

1. Install Inline Load Resistors (Most Common)
Adding a load resistor to the turn signal wiring simulates the electrical resistance of a factory bulb, tricking the computer into flashing normally. [3, 4]
  • Get the resistors: Contact AlphaRex Support directly. They frequently send out plug-and-play inline resistor modules or harness fixes specifically designed to correct this issue for your vehicle model.
  • Installation: Splice or plug the resistor between the turn signal power wire and the ground wire.

2. Check the DRL Fuse Tap Wiring
If your AlphaRex kit came with a Daytime Running Light (DRL) harness that taps into your fuse box, an incomplete connection can cause a load mismatch and trigger hyperflash: [6, 10]
  • Double-fuse the tap: Ensure you have two fuses plugged into the AlphaRex fuse tap. One must be the original fuse you pulled out of the slot, and the other must be the 10A/15A fuse provided by AlphaRex. Leaving the factory slot empty breaks the loop and triggers errors. [11, 12]
3. Update Vehicle Settings via OBD (Ford/RAM/GM)

If you drive a newer truck (like a Ford F-150 or RAM), you can often completely bypass the need for physical resistors by changing the computer settings. [13, 14]
  • Use diagnostic software like AlfaOBD (for RAM) or FORScan (for Ford) to change the turn signal parameter settings from "Halogen" to "LED". This stops the computer from looking for a heavy electrical load. [10, 13]
4. Replace Your Flasher Relay (Older Vehicles)
If you are working on an older vehicle (e.g., pre-2015 trucks or SUVs), your blinking speed is controlled by a physical relay under the dash rather than a computer. [14, 15]
  • Replace your factory turn signal relay with an Electronic LED Flasher Relay (available at local auto parts stores). These relays are timed electronically and flash at the exact same speed regardless of how much power the bulbs pull. [14]
