For any of you that have added fog lights or driving lights that have the amber back lighting, where do you wire that circuit into. They could be any brand.
I don't want to use one of the up lifter switch positions. I found one company that sells a wire harness to tap into the head lights. But its pricy for just a couple plugs.
Has any tapped into a circuit to turn the amber feature on?

I used an add-a-fuse to tap into whatever circuit in the fuse box is hot when I want the backlights lit.. can’t recall which one specifically without looking but just wanted them running when the vehicle was running (including during a remote start). Used a multi-meter to poke around until I found the right circuit

With our kits we give you a control wire that goes to an upfitter. Im NOT a fan of tying into the headlights or fuse panel, because then it's always on. It's best to go to an upfitter so that you can turn it off if you need to.

What a lot of our customers do is they take an add-a-fuse tap and crimp it onto our control wire (off our fog harness) and then plug that into the fuse panel. They'll use a circuit that powers on when the truck powers on. Easy to do and nothing extra needed other then the add-a-fuse tap (which are like $5 on amazon for a pack of 5)

This is the way. Don’t waste an aux switch for a fog light backlight..

Not the same for a ditch or light bar backlight though..

It's identical as the light bars, fog lights, ditch lights, etc...

At least with our harnesses it's all the same. Our harness has a control wire for the backlighting

No I meant that you just shouldn’t run those backlights on full time (light bar, ditch etc)… but fog lights who cares, run them like DRL’s and don’t waste a switch for those.

It wasn’t a comment on how any of your harnesses are made, no clue about that

Ohh yeah. I never actually run any of my back-lighting but have them all tied together to one switch. Im just not a fan of back-lighting personally.
