So before anyone says to use the search function, I did. And now I feel like my heads going to explode with more information than it can process. I’m also fairly new to forums and didn’t realize until it was wayyyy too late the whole bookmark feature and such so anywho here’s what I need help/advice on from other people that have done this.

I have a 2021 Badlands SAS with the modular bumper.

I’ve ordered the headlight W/fog light switch from ford (well re ordered didn’t realize my initial order was canceled due to one part being on back order and didn’t respond to the email 😬)

My understanding with that it’s a basic plug and play (for the switch) and then I would need to go into forscan and enable this feature.

Now onto the lights. I ordered the Panda Motorworks x Diode Dynamics Fog Light Flush Pocket Kit

And was unaware that it would take up 4 upfitter switches as currently designed. Now here’s where the question(s) come in.

When attempting to use the “factory” fog light switch which light(s) would I wire up to where on the vehicle? I’m also going to pour through the threads again tomorrow to try and find the answer again. I faintly recall someone posting something somewhere about too much draw for the BCM and I definitely don’t want to fry that.

Next question, can the Amber back lights be wired up to the daytime running lights? And any info on where/how to easily connect to that?

And for the remaining fog lights (I’m assuming the 4 ssc2’s) can they all be triggered off of one upfitter switch?

Or should I just take the easy route and put them all to seperate upfitter switches?

Thank you guys for the help with this!

Are all the lights driving lights or are they offroad lights. I'd say wire a pair of street legal driving lights to the fog light switch. 4x4truckleds sells a harness that is plug and play for 1 pair of lights to the factory harness which is located behind the bumper behind the plastic panels on the mod bumper. Pull those panels and you should find a harness end with a dummy plug. You still need to enable the fog light function in forscan. If your remaining lights are off road, you can write them together for 1switch or use 2 different switches, your choice. Not sure why you would need 4 switches for only 3 pairs of lights. If none of your lights are street legal, I wouldn't put any on the fog light switch.

I have a similar set up, except I chose not to go with the ss3 lights. I have a pair of white ssc2 I wired up to the fog light switch. My 2nd pair are amber and put those on an aux switch. I wired all the backlights together into single wire and used an add a fuse to have them on all the time.

Crash Thank you for the response! I did go back through the thread that has like 50 pages and took some screenshots this time haha. I believe (have to double check) that one of the pairs of lights is road legal, and then the other 2 are off-road use only so I would likely put them together on one aux switch. I am for sure going to grab that harness from 4x4, I was going to shoot them an email and see if they've had any success with tapping into either the DRL or the turn signal for them. I had a really neat idea (at least in my head) of using the amber back lights as a sequential turn signal and not super sure what all goes into that.

For what you did with the add a fuse would you mind expanding on that a bit or let me know which page to hop into to get the details on that?

For the add a fuse, I just tapped in to a fuse that is hot when the ignition is on because I wanted the backlights on all the time. I can look to see which fuse I used. If you're asking how to use an add a fuse, there are tons of YouTube videos about how to do it.
