Grill mounted warning flashers

Upgraded my 22 OBX to a 25 Badlands, and since I’m going to be in it for a while, I figure I may as well make some mods that would make my life easier.

I work in a field, where I’m often times parked on the side of the road or other ways in need of, or would benefit from, additional warning, lights, or flashers from a safety standpoint.

Does anyone have options or ideas regarding a front grill mounted and/or rear set of lights that would fit that bill that I could wire to the aux switches?

There's a few chase lights out there on the market already that would cover the rear facing.

I have the Turn Offroad one & while I've had no issues with the lights, the finish of the housing doesn't hold up at all to NE weather. I had to wire my own flasher module, but I think they now come with one as an option.

There's also the option of just getting whatever lights you want & using a switch box to make them flash - I think Aux beam has an affordable one & I know Diode Dynamics has a D-Switch that will do that for around $600.

You'd program one of the buttons to turn on all the lights you want & to strobe them in the correct pattern. But you'd also have the ability to program them for steady on, independent of the strobe on another button.

For in-grille lights, I'd think you could probably make the raptor style lights work for this & possibly mount them in different locations of the grille. A simple $30 module wired inline with them would make them flash off an aux switch.

Since you’ve got aux switches, you can wire everything directly to those with a flasher relay, but if you’re planning to run multiple lights or want more flexibility, something like a TRIGGER 4 or 6 system is worth considering. It keeps the install clean (no running wires through the firewall) and gives you extra functionality like flashing and dimming, which is super useful for safety lighting situations like what you’re describing. The remote/app control is also nice if you ever need to activate lights from outside the vehicle.

You may want to consider pre-runner style grille lights for added front visibility, or an additional third brake light setup in the rear for extra attention when stopped. Both are clean, functional upgrades that still keep things road-friendly.
