Did my head light and pod cover maintenance today. Thought I’d share for others who like to keep the ole bronco clean.

This is for minor scratches, scuffs, and fogging. Not a lot of work. Just a casual polish by hand. It will bring the shine back, some scratches won’t polish out easily if deeper, but can get the gloss shine back to hide it.

I use Novus plastic polish 1,2,3. 3 for deeper scratches. You work 3 on a 90 degree angle to the scratch. Then 2 for the polishing. 2 is put on in circular motions. This will get the gloss back. 1 is a general cleaner/anti fog.

I usually just use 2 if it looks foggy or hazy. If the scratches jump out, I’ll start with 3.

I had forgot to take a pic for the headlights, but this is what they look like after a couple coats of 2.

Looks nice and shiny! I have PPF on my headlights and just apply rainX to it.

It will polish that if it ever gets foggy too. I’ve used it on vinyl laminated decals for scuffs, eye glasses, and some other various things.

Nice job!!!

If interested... I picked up 3M PPF on Amazon to protect my lights. Works well! Do a rough fit, lay it on with soapy water and trim with razor as need once done.

I'm not the person you're replying to. But 3m ppf is sold on a lot of online stores, including amazon. Its not the best film on the market, but its one of the best available in small quantities and definitely up to the task for small areas like headlights.
