That’s exactly who I transferred to as well. If your credit card wasn’t automatically refunded the $100 you the original dealer...you need to talk to them to get that $100 back. They have it. After you get your $100 back contact your new dealer (@DealerInsider) and they can take your credit card info over the phone to pay them the $100 deposit.

At no point will the $100 deposit automatically go from your original dealer to your new dealer even though you’ve already moved your reservation.

**I had 2 reservations that I moved. The first res was automatically refunded. For some reason the second one was not and I had an 8 week battle trying to get my $100 deposit back.
Spoke to the OG dealer and they claim it transferred. @DealerInsider never mentioned getting it or sending him more $. Waiting to hear from him. Anyone got anything official from Ford stating the process. I do remember the person on the phone I spoke with saying I would need to repay deposit. OG dealer also stated they were never notified that I had transferred, but I got an official email from Ford with my new res details.

Was fun telling OG dealer why I moved as they were unwilling to offer any discount.

P.S. My refund appeared on my card the same day I transferred even though my card number changed since the original transaction

I do remember FORD help # saying that too. Maybe because they (OG dealer) claim they were never notified of the transfer they havn't released funds. On phone with FORD now to see what's up. I can always dispute the transaction with CC company if this get too ridiculous.

In defense of University Ford - the bedside manner isn't superb, but I walked in with no appt. around December and asked to talk with someone. Their bronco guy came out and answered all my questions and promised no markup past MSRP.

They left a message last week asking for permission to convert my order. I said not until we could talk on the phone. We talked the next day and I got MSRP in writing and a teacher discount. Not huge, but something.

They did seem more personable when they were at the old rinky dink location that's now University PreOwned...

I forgot about that... How is that supposed to work? I transferred to Chapman Ford w/ @DealerInsider and never paid another hundo. Should I get it back, did it transfer, do I need to write a check? Order converted successfully.
the original dealer is supposed to refund the money thru wbdo res system...its literally a click of 1 button and you get the money from your credit card statement with a couple days

Transferred my reservation almost 2 months ago and my original dealer kept making excuses as to why he couldn’t refund my $100 deposit...

After countless emails and phone calls to the dealership and ultimately Ford HQ....SWEET VICTORY!

they sent you a check bc they dont want to cancel the original res with a good timestamp...they could have clicked with one button and its handled thru ford

all the OG dealer needs to do is go into the wbdo res system, look up your res #, click refund

He finally took care of cancelling/refunding the order. But only after I sent this email -
" If you don’t want to go into wbdo and click refund, You can send me a check and keep the order and timestamp. Or, I can call
Ford and make sure the order gets cancelled. Your call.

Hmmm. My orig dealer says he doesn't have the money, Ford does. Ford sorta confirmed that they would be sending the refund. (My old credit card was no good anymore, so it couldn't be done automagically.) Dealer says they don't get the $100 until order.......so now I don't know who has my $100....kinda figured it's *poof*.
The dealer does. My refund was from my dealer on the electronic transfer statement.
