Long time stalker here. I recently purchased a set of full length step rails for my 2 door Badlands from IAG Performance and I accidentally ordered 2 sets, but didn't know it until the second set arrived. I contacted customer service and since it was on the weekend, I didn't hear from anyone until the following Monday.
Kathy was awesome and helpful with the return process. It's nice to work with companies that are easy to deal with.
The step rails are great. They were packed well, easy to install and remove for trail riding, they look good too. They even have kept the rock chips away. I highly recommend them.

Interesting. I have them for my 4 door. I have the wider portion of the rail to the back of the vehicle. Did I put them on in reverse or is that the way they are intended for the 2 door?

I think they are. I just googled the 2 door.

You need to switch sides.

I saw IAG comment on this at one point, and they said it's up to customer preference. You do you, OP.

There were no instructions for which direction the wider end faced. I installed them with the wider end to the front to help block the flying rocks and there are rarely any passengers in the rear. Unless you count my 9 year old Black Lab.

This is how I plan to install them to keep rocks at bay.

are they backwards? Maybe. Will our paint look better? Hell yeah!

Seeing the pictures of them installed backwards made me better understand how you didn't realize you ordered 2 sets until delivery. That or I guess no one checks their statements anymore. :ROFLMAO:

However, your reasoning for installing them that way makes sense to keep rocks off the body!

I'm thinking of getting these for my 4dr but will invest in some Rokblokz mudflaps as well.

Ihave the same IAG on my 2 door positioned the same way too. I prefer the look and it has protected the paint from road fod. Since they arent actual rock sliders to kick the rear away from rocks you can really put them any way you want. I really like mine!

So I have an update on my IAG step rails.... Since I live near Chicago, I have a "winter beater" and parked the Bronco in the garage under a car cover to keep it out of the salt. I parked it in December due to some mechanical problems with the beater and I had to drive the Bronco to work in the snow and salt. I washed it off before putting it away, but when I uncovered it last month I found the steps were rust stained. I emailed IAG with the pictures you see here and I was amazed at their response. They sent me a new set of steps and asked me to return the old steps in the box the new ones were shipped in at no charge to me at all. I had read in the warranty that the powder coating was not included in the warranty, but they still took care of my problem. They're a great company to work with and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. They improved the packaging and the product itself since I purchased the original steps last September. Thank you IAG!
