to keep it short:

where i live it gets -45°C in winter and 35°C in summer

i need a DROP IN intake for snow, rain, dust, occasional mud and sand from offroading (also would get the filter sock)

my options:
1) S&B oiled
2) S&B dry
3) Volant powercore

also i know its not much performance and i know its not much noise but i want one regardless! thank you in advance

S&B or similar dry cleanable filter. I used to be a wet filter person but everyone on these forums got me to switch. Now I use the washable Injen cone filter (plus a sock after seeing big bugs and bulk dirt in the box one maintenance cycle).

What problem are you trying to solve besides spending money on something?

With how you are going to be driving and going offroad, I would definitely go with the S&B Dry Filter intake. Those are great in the dust and sand environments, which is great for offroad too.

Easy to clean with compressed air as well. Let us know if you have any other questions, or if we can help get you set up with one! #teamlethal

I would be cautious with any open intake, even with them sealing up to the hood. The build up of snow could melt and refreeze in the filter (probably a bit of a stretch...) if sitting out too long in deep snow.

Technically you're fine, it would be treated like rain and the filter is there for it, but I am always cautious... then again we are in SFL and totally neglectful to snow LOL.

OP what did you end up going with? I'm looking for a cleanable filter that fits in the OEM housing. I see a ton of dirt roads too and I'm getting tired of replacing the paper filter with how fast I collect dirt lol, would like to find something I can just remove, clean, and put back in.
