I have a Hookle rack on my 2dr Bronco and I can easily take my front roof panels off. My next overlanding upgrade is an awning, or some sort of shade/rain solution. I've seen a few nice 8' and 6' awnings that I can mount on the rack, but I'm worried I'll lose my ability to easily remove the roof panels.

Anyone have any advice?
I'm open to anything creative.
I camp a lot in the south and irregular weather plays havoc with my current setup.

Right now I just have the Naturenest rooftop tent and a popup "bathroom."

Thanks folks.

Thanks for the great ideas. I really like the DYI angle here. Hitting Harbor Freight later this week.
