OK, installed Key 200.4, did the DSP, big improvement. Went to set the gain with the Kicker gain MP3 and can't raise the gain at all without clipping. According to Kicker's website, I'm supposed to set the HU vol to 3/4 which is about 22 on the HU. Anyone else experience this? I'm using the -5dB test tone.

usually the set the gains, you just put the volume up about that high, play some music and adjust it down till it stops clipping.

HOWEVER...

I ran into something similar when i was setting mine up and it was completely remedied by swapping to the plugnplaykits harness that pulls from the battery vs the 12v from the radio.

I pumped the rear gain 2-3 notches with 6.5” Memphis in the pods. Forscan to make full speaker instead of tweeter. Sounds great.

I used the plug and play kit direct to the battery and still got the clipping.

I'm just going to leave it with the gains down. It's plenty loud enough. Just have to do something about the rear volume. I'm a forscan idiot so I don't go there.

Mine did that until I used forscan. I changed the front setting to speaker instead of speaker/tweeter. Been fine since. Before it would clip at 18 now I can listen at 26 no issues. I believe it was the factory ACM actually clipping it and not the kicker itself clipping.
