The technical term for this is 'Glory Mud'.
True story the Arizona Game and Fish gets complaints their abusing their equipment if they have too much mud on the truck, and they attract complaints of being desk jockeys if they have no mud on their trucks. They have an unwritten policy to have just the 'right' amount of mud and dirt on their trucks. (About what your wearing to slightly less).
