A couple of days ago I was passing another truck on the highway and the driver drifted into my lane and hit me on the passenger side. Surprisingly and gratefully I did not lose control and the good news was basically, no damage was done! It felt like I was hit really hard but the only thing that happened was rubber scruffson the beadlock ring on the rear tire and damage to the bumper and the WeatherTech mudflap on the passenger rear.

The mud flaps were installed when I had my Rockslide Engineering side steps so I do not know how they were put on and it is not convenient for me to back to have them fixed because the dealership is not close by. So, what I need help with is do I need a new set of mudflaps only or do I need to get a Ford OEM piece first, see pics below. The pics are in order of up close to the pieces in question.

I will be on the road for a while longer so I am trying to plan what parts I need so I can have this fixed at one of my upcoming stops.

I can’t really tell from the pics, but are the male clips holding mudflaps pulled from female locations, and if so, can u tell if the clips are replaceable?…if they are, most Autoparts stores carry a selection of automotive trim clips, could try matching. As for the scuffs on the bumper, I would clean the area really good and then use a heat gun to to meld the plastic back to original. It may not remove deep scratches but from pics it doesn’t appear to be marred super deep. Not sure what the bead lock rings are made of or if they have a clear coat applied to them as some do, but if it is not clear coated, I would use a metal polish to buff them out as best as possible. Are you not going thru insurance company? From the pics, it doesn’t appear that the mudflaps themselves were damaged to the point of needing replaced, but hard to tell without being hands on

Thanks for your reply and I have figured out that the part where the mudflap is attached to is a stock Ford trim piece of the bumper. I have looked in the back and the plastic pins are a molded part of the inside of the bumper trim and those pins are broken šŸ˜žšŸ˜”.

The other day I found the part number but nobody has it on hand in the city I am in right now, so I will have to order it from a Ford Dealership at a future stop that I will spend some time at next week.

Thankfully that was all the damage that happened at 80'ish MPH on the interstate between two vehicles! Very grateful this is all I am having to deal with for a Bronco that is one month old.
