So here's the skinny... I bought this spare tire LED light and it came with zero instructions. So I searched YouTube and got mixed results. Either it's an Oracle light, someone is hard-wiring it or they skip right over the plugs entirely in their video. Ad said, "Compatible with Ford Bronco 2021-2023". It's supposed to be plug n play.

Pic 1 (top left): LED ring which fits bronco
Pic 2 (top right): Pulled where I believe the factory plug is.. again zero instructions.
Pic 3 (bottom left): Original factory plug that normally ties directly into 3rd brake light
Pic 4 (bottom right):. The two plugs that are "plug n play".

Clearly these plugs don't line up. So what am missing?? Do I use a different factory plug location?

Ok, so I just looked at the listing and it has an installation video in the listing. You are trying to plug it into the wrong connector. You don't connect it up at the brake light.

You have to take off the interior panel on the inside right of the tailgate and plug it into the harness inside there.

Well that would explain it. Just saw the pics, but missed the video at the end 😣.

Everything I could find referenced the 3rd brake light itself. Thank you👍

Just find two plugs male and female and splice them in ,done
It doesn't matter what flavor they are.

Fwiw, if anyone follows the instructions they show the wire from the LED light going into the same hole as where the grommet came from. They want you to take the LED rear light and basically pinch it between the body sheet metal and the grommet itself. Bad idea IMHO. Instead I fished it through what I call the "gills" just behind the spare tire on the door itself. The key is to not make the wire too taught as you want the flap you go under to lay as flat as possible. Worked for me and I think the wire will last significantly longer. Hope this helps someone else.
