Opinions on Generac portable generators for backup home power?

I definitely want portable. Don’t know if we’ll be here 2 years or 10 years right now. When I know I’m in my last house before the old folks home, I’ll spring for a whole house auto system on a slab.

Based on feedback here, I’m going to look at Predator or Honda for now. I’ve read complaints elsewhere about the Generac service and parts when issues arise, in particular on the portables, and that was echoed here. Thanks, all.

I caught a great deal on the Predator 13,000 watt from HF. Runs the house and the well/filtration. It’s easy to move around and not bad on fuel either.
